I stayed for three week nights and, despite the ongoing strike, the staff there did their absolute best to ensure a smooth guest experience. Everyone I encountered had a smile on their face and I sincerely want to thank each of them for providing great service during a tough time. The room was clean and neatly serviced each day, nothing to complain about. The front desk was able to put me in a room away from the front so the noise wasn’t too bothersome either. Hotel work is hard work. I so wish Hyatt and the union could come to resolution soon so these hard working folks can get back to normal life with financial security. Downtown SF needs good paying jobs - the empty storefronts around every block is heartbreaking.

It's incredibly disappointing to have a stay disrupted by these ongoing protests, especially when you're on vacation hoping for some relaxation. We felt torn, frustrated by the constant noise and inconvenience, yet sympathetic to the workers fighting for fair treatment. I understand that strikes like this often intensify when negotiations stall, and it can feel like there's no end in sight, especially with major chains like Hyatt. If union representatives could mediate, it might help resolve the situation without prolonged public disruptions, though that's not always a quick process. This balance between guest experience and employee treatment is an issue many others seem to feel strongly about as well. I hope that posting reviews and sending feedback directly to Hyatt encourages management to address these concerns more effectively, as this affects both employees and loyal customers seeking a stress-free stay. Hopefully, a resolution is on the horizon so future guests can enjoy both a peaceful stay and the assurance that staff are treated fairly. I want to update my review next day of the review above after learning from the front desk that the protest was supposed to run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. However, they started as early as 6:15 a.m., with no control over when they actually begin. The noise is unbearable, causing constant headaches throughout the day as they yell and make excessive noise. It's impossible to even understand what they're saying or demanding, they're simply shouting. We're relieved to be leaving soon, but I feel for the people who live or work around Union Square. The disruptions are affecting everyone nearby rather than reaching the CEO or owners, which probably explains why there's been no resolution after all these months

it is a nice hotel to stay but a worker strike at the hotel made the staying experience very unpleasant. Hotel chose the commercial benefits over the clients comfort and did not inform about the strike ( which was already underway at the time of booking)

The room was nice but with set racks such as curtains that were too short, causing floor flooding at every shower. The breakfast pricing was a ridiculous 40$ + tax that was not presented or advertised, we paid 180+ $ for a breakfast for a family of 4 that di not even serve cappuccino, only regular black coffee

The hotel is fine. My issues are with how they are treating the labour negotiation with their staff. Settle the labour dispute with your unionized employees. It is shameful to pay your executives 10+million and are squeezing the bartenders, cleaners, and kitchen staff for wages. Do better.
