Beautiful hotel in excellent location

The decor in this completely renovated hotel is absolutely beautiful. It delivers on web photos. Staff was friendly and attentive. The location was great, felt completely safe and was what gives San Francisco the vibe that is only San Francisco!

Fantastic hotel

A fantastic hotel in a great location. Very clean, new, hip decor. We were upgraded to a suite which was beautiful with a great view. The bathrooms were spacious and I loved the sit down vanity. The beds were very comfortable along with the sofa in the sitting room. I don't have one negative thing to say about this hotel- it was great.

Lovely Stay

Great hotel in a great part of the city. Low traffic with a restaurant on the third floor. Restaurant does not have many options but food is good. The area felt very safe with many attractions within walking distance. Great views of the bay. Parking is expensive at $82 a night. Park across the street on Battery St. only $37.

It’s nice but service is subpar

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I’ve stayed at all the high end hotels in SF … Four Seasons, St Regis, Ritz, etc and so when I heard about this relatively new hotel I was intrigued. Rooms looked nice and a newer hotel is always a nice treat. Stayed two nights while my wife and I were up in SF moving our daughter into law school. The property and room was nice as expected from a stylish newer hotel but that’s as far it goes in terms of it being a high end hotel. The service… could never reach house keeping to clean out room. The elevators were sometimes painfully slow. The valet took 30 minutes!!!! At $72 a night to park WTH. And it’s one thing if the front desk at least warned us so we could plan accordingly but nope. Valet acted like that was the norm. Never encountered that at the other higher end hotels. Was terrible late to an event as a result. All in all.. the facilities were nice and stylish but it’s far from a higher end experience. At the end of the day it’s about the service that sets apart a top end hotel and the Jay falls short.

Full service, luxury accommodations

The Jay, Autograph Collection is a lovely hotel in the center of the Financial District. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with modern furniture, plenty of lighting, and room to work and relax. The view from the 24th floor was spectacular providing scenes of the water and the mountains. I enjoyed the classic yet creative menu at the 3rd floor restaurant and lounge. The fitness center was top notch with several Peloton bikes, treadmills, and full complement of weights. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to San Francisco.
