Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

We’ve been staying at Sir Francis Drake for over 24 years, and honestly, I was a bit sad to see all the changes at first. But over the past few years, I’ve really grown to love the new look! I was a little disappointed that the Christmas decorations weren’t up in time for the Union Square Tree Lighting (the day after Thanksgiving), but our stay this past weekend was wonderful. Loved our room—1910 was fantastic! Thank you!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone we encountered at the hotel. From the front door greeting to the front guest desk, Mezzanine bar, and of course the new lounge to the top floor, IT WAS FANTASTIC! The martinis were the best and everyone was so accommodating and sociable with us throughout our stay. It is always a pleasure to visit and can’t wait for our next visit!

We love the Beacon due to its location and beautiful restoration. The bar/breakfast is a wonderful spot to enjoy this landmark building and we also made sure we visited the Starlight at the top for a fabulous view of SF and a swanky, fun atmosphere with great cocktails. We selected a smaller king room with a view over a larger lower level room during this stay. I must say we will opt for the larger room next time due to an incredibly small bathroom. It was very difficult for two people to manage. Otherwise, nice room with comfortable beds and pillows. We will be back!

Beautifully restored grand old hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious. Everyone, from the doormen to security to front desk to behind-the-scenes, all personnel were friendly and helpful. Definitely will go back.

the hotel was resonably priced, with everything you could want. great location, roof top bar with a view, excellent restaraunt, friendly helpful staff. the hotel was clean with old world charm but far from dated. it says i need twenty-five more characters so this sentence should do it. :)
