Great Value!
We enjoyed our seven days at this wonderful beach resort. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, especially the Mexican and Italian restaurants. Room was clean and housekeeping very accommodating. We would definitely come back!

Great experience: Very friendly staff & surprisingly good food!
My girlfriend and I loved this place! We booked it super last minute via a travel agency through AirCanada Vacations and pretty much everything was smooth sailing. We did end up asking for a room upgrade since we thought the Queen bed in our original room was more like a Double, but the front desk had no problems changing our room to one with a King for us (it also had an even better view, which was a nice bonus!). We thought the food was surprisingly good, especially at the lunch buffet. We had had a pretty mediocre experience at our last all-inclusive in Mexico so were coming into this one with low expectations. The food at both the Italian and Mexican restaurants was especially good (we would highly recommend the steak at the Mexican spot, Don Gus). We also wanted to give a few special shout-outs to some members of the staff who made our vacation extra memorable: - Santiago and Jorge who made sure our glasses were never empty at the pool - Sebastian, Oscar and Rolfo from the entertainment team who kept us pumped up throughout the day - Calixto and Carina who always greeted us at breakfast with the friendliest smiles and attitudes - Bruno at Don Gus, who made us feel like VIPs and had the perfect tableside manner - Raphael, the best bartender on the resort!! Thank you to the whole team at Solaris Lighthouse!

Limited light house visit
Overall the stay was OK. We had paid extra for Oceanview but had a tree and pool view. Management did make an effort to change room but that was 5 days later and we were settled in already. I was surprised about the time share element for a mid size resort. We were not the least interested. Many things were broken or out of service, such as elevators, toaster (1 day), hot tub, Ice cream machine (1-2 days). We only got to go to the lighthouse twice because of the elevator. Too bad, as it gives magnificent views of San Jose. Staff were very good as many are from the previous Barcelo resort. Best server was Marco by far and young Mario in his shadow. Bartender Felix and others were great. Rooms very good and cleaners and maids were were very polite and helpful. We did have issues with the safe and got super prompt help and response. to resolve. I was impressed. Food was a good variety and decent quality and taste. Probably won't return to this resort.

The room and rounds were very clean and well maintained. Pools are heated.everything was really nice. Food could have been kept a bit wormer but overall no complaint. We will return a second time. We also like the area in Los Cabo. People in the area are friendly as is the staff at GR Solaris

A great stay
Travelled to the hotel 20-27 Jan. I emailed Angelica at guest services prior to our visit and she made sure our son was made a fuss of. As it was a birthday trip for him and just him and I did the trip. Also a big shout out to Sebastian and Oscar the daytime entertainment guys. Sebastian arranged many activities during our stay to get the guests involved. My son loved it and Sebastian even remembered our names on the 2nd day of the trip. Very clean everywhere at the resort, comfortable beds, great service, good food , fast and friendly bar service at the pools, Reuben the barman at the pool always had a smile and when he saw my son at the bar always said "Tequila, Tequila" which we all found amusing. It was hard to find fault ! We give it a 4*. Good value for the cost. The Mexican Fiesta Friday nights is excellent, good food and entertainment. A couple of days where was no day time entertainment I believe management were cutting staff hours whilst it wasn't that busy.
