Outside the historic colonial city of San Jose del Cabo, on the tip of Mexico(TM)s Baja Peninsula, Barcelo Los Cabos is a tranquil paradise. Tropical gardens and giant desert cacti surround the guestrooms and suites that offer a pleasing blend of Mediterranean and Mexican details. From the welcoming Chula Vista restaurant, to the freeform, sandstone pool"where the sound of waterfalls mingles with the distant thunder of the Sea of Cortez"a soothing atmosphere pervades this inviting property.

Went to Don Gus and were very happy with the service. Our waitress, Heidi, was very attentive and the food came very fast. The food was very good as well. Overall the experience was pleasant and we would come again if we were staying at this hotel.

Randall the server and Federico the bartender are THE BEST! They made our time so special and were an absolute blast to engage with. Excellent customer service from these fellows! The only thing that could make a swim up bar cooler is these two being behind it!

Zarel Perez gave us incredible pool service. He was friendly, attentive, and great to have around. Zarel and all the staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing. There are always pool side loungers available and the food is delicious. We're definitely coming back.

Wouldn’t stay again. My boyfriend and I just returned from a week vacation at GR Solaris lighthouse. Overall the week was relaxing but the resort was not what we had our hopes up for. When we checked in the resort was at 30-40% capacity. I requested to not be on ground level. At check in the check in information had us on the 3rd floor, the lady crossed this off and put us in room 2111. As we entered the room it was very stale smelling, the light by the closet had no light bulb, the lamp by the bed also had no light bulb, the safe was locked and waited 45 minutes for a new safe to be installed. We didn’t have a coffee pot and had to request one 2 times. The location to the pool was convenient so we ignored the small things. And with hesitation if this is what this room looked like I imagined they all were the same. On day 4 we were sitting on our patio and my boyfriend mentioned there was a rip in one of the chairs. After sitting a couple of minutes it fully ripped. I went back to the front desk to ask for a new chair. When I gave our room number to the manager he mentioned we were in a room that was not to be occupied. We moved rooms with in an hour. This room was much cleaner and actually had a view. However I feel we should have been compensated for our troubles. Over all food was ok, typical all inclusive buffet food. You won’t go hungry, and probably won’t gain the vacation 10lbs! This resort is very geared towards its members, had I known this before I would never have booked here. The lady after check in who promotes the time share was very kind and didn’t push the time share lunch on us as we stated right upfront we were not interested. We spoke with several guests and they wasted 6 hrs of their day for the meeting. There was a lack of staff, dinner service( drinks) was very slow. Pool staff was great, always on top of service. The whole week during our stay there was zero evening entertainment. We often went to bed early since there was nothing to do. Overall we had a relaxing stay but I would would not stay again. This resort is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ at max. Unless you are a member I would try some where else!
