Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort

Last minute we booked a trip to Cabo for fall break, we called this resort 12 hours before take off to book a two bedroom suite for our family. Can’t say enough about our stay at Las Ventanas. Service, food, atmosphere all 10/10. Don’t hesitate to book this incredible resort.

We’d like to share a short story about Las Ventanas Al Paraiso (LVP): Our dear friend, (who happens to be a travel writer and food critic), introduced us to LVP soon after it opened. At that time, we had visited many countries and stayed in numerous luxurious, highly recommended hotels. And, we had also explored nearly all of Mexico’s major resorts and tourist destinations. Although our first visit to LVP was only for a few days, we knew that we had found a very special place, and we promised ourselves that we would return, which we, in fact, did the next year, and the year after, and for every year afterwards for at least twice yearly. At LVP, when we arrive at the lobby, we are warmly welcomed by LVP’s awesome and gracious Manager Sebastian Dental, with the kind words, “Welcome Home.” No words could be truer. That’s when our fun and joy begins. We know there are a multitude of shopping attractions and outdoor exploring and ocean-oriented activities available in Cabo, and, of course, we took advantage of them, during our initial period of LVP stays, but we quickly realized that our maximum benefit from this splendid resort would be derived from enjoying the on-site amenities during our never-long-enough stay at LVP, enjoying the world class spa, great personalized service, excellent cuisine and, well, perfect relaxation. During our stays at LVP, we typically start our day with a work out in the fully-equipped gym followed by breakfast at the Alebrije restaurant, and then we head for lounge chairs on the beautiful beach situated as close as we can get to the hypnotic waves where we read our books on Kindle and watch occasional pelicans and sometimes even whales swimming by on their annual migration to the Sea of Cortez. We enjoy attentive food service on the beach or lunches in the airy beachfront Sea Grill restaurant. As the sun sets over the western mountains, we take a casual walk on the beach, followed on many evenings by a romantic candlelit dinner on the rooftop of our suite, orchestrated by the creative genius Alfonso Reyes, who masterfully and meticulously decorates our rooftop terrace with a sea of romantic candles and tasteful decorations coordinated to any occasion we are celebrating. Our other dining choices at LVP are both varied and satisfying. Occasionally, we have an open-air romantic dinner at The Plaza, an enchanting place at LVP with an astounding view of the resort and ocean. Or, we may have a romantic dinner on the beach, again arranged by the amazing Alfonso, who makes every dining experience unbelievably romantic and memorable. (A Beach Dinner is an incomparable experience accompanied by the sound of breaking waves, romantic candles and award-winning culinary creations of the LVP chef.) During our stay at LVP, we always make sure we have at least one dinner at Arbol with its pan-Asian delicacies. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the excellent food selections available for in-room dining service. (Other available choices are Alebrije and the Cava for elegant dining, the Sushi and Tequila Bar and the Botica Speakeasy). Our sincerest compliments and gratitude to Mr. Sebastian Dental, for his outstanding job and impeccable taste overseeing this amazing world-class resort, and for always treating his guests (including us, of course), like visiting royalty. And our sincere thank you to Alfonso Reyes, who always ensures that our dinners are splendid and memorable. We keep coming back to Las Ventanas because - there is nothing better in Cabo - it’s simply above and beyond all other hotels on every level. There is no need to leave the property because the 3 restaurants are on point and the on property Speakeasy is first class, they have the best live music, everyone in the room was dancing when we were there. We get the same room every time we come because it is right in front of the adult pool which has an infinity edge looking over to the beach. It’s simply the best location in any hotel we’ve ever stayed at on a beach anywhere in the world! The rooms are so comfortable. The bedding is divine. The breakfast is something I look so forward to. They’ll deliver it to your room or you can go to the restaurant and enjoy. It’s nice to have access to the spa to steam and cold plunge. Our butlers Karla and Francisco were helpful with dinners, transportation and overall service. The manager Sebastian has the best crew in the hotel industry. Everyone on property is trained so well and are happy and kind and friendly every time they see you , and it doesn’t feel fake. It feels genuine. We will be back!

Rosewood Cabo is, quite frankly, a resort that is nearly flawless. The service is impeccable and friendly (our butlers Arturo and Luis made were not only friendly and a delight to interact with but helped with a spectacular room upgrade and more). The rooms themselves are spacious and stunningly appointed with a local design aesthetic that is both comfortable and artistic. Im not a big foodie but the cuisine and drinks here are memorable and worth every penny. With most resorts in Cabo, it’s unsafe to go into the ocean but there is a small beach about a 10 minute walk away where it’s safe to get in if you so desire. Don’t hesitate about coming to this Rosewood.
