After a beautiful day at Ojo Caliente, I decided to get dolled up, get some dinner and drinks, and spend some money playing casino games. We arrived at 10 pm, and the front desk said restaurants and drinks were still available, we got up to the room, decided not to change, and went down to the bar and they said they were closed, we then went to the "restaurant" which was a snack bar with two items left, again, two items left, they were both PRE-MADE FRITO PIES, seeing we are both from New Mexico, (I now reside in Austin) my friend was trying to take me out to a nice evening at the "beautiful" casino, so we both know that you don't pre-make Frito pies. Also, we couldn't even get drunk enough to eat those nasty-looking pre-made pies. Our options were none! So, with no food and no drinks, why stay? So, we went up to our room and immediately checked out. We did speak to the front desk about their misleading comments about everything being open, and get no customer service, you'd expect paying over $200 a night they'd at least be pleasant and understand the role in hospitality. My friend contacted managers, Ken Trujillo and Sandra Dominguez, never to get a call or email returned. We are very dissatisfied with the misleading, disrespectful management and rude hospitality staff of this casino. Please, feel free to contact me, I cannot believe we had to drive to Santa Fe and find a place to eat, drink, and sleep. I cannot believe management still hasn't reached out, we have been back to Ojo twice and found other arrangements to stay at with respect and hospitality!

The absolute worse Hilton I've ever been to! Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this place. Half the resort is shut down, 1 restaurant open only...1 store and 1 candy store open, rest of resort is shut down outside of the casino. The employees told us it's been this way since covid. Most employees that were there were very rude and not interested in helping in any way, and some were just down right rude! DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY HERE!!

This resort is, for my tastes, better than anything in LV or Reno - for quite a few reasons. The resort has a quiet ambience that exemplifies the Texan Pueblo culture. The lobby, the mezzanine, the Red Sage restaurant and the casino have jaw-dropping permanent exhibits of talented artists in pottery, sculpture, and textile art. The Red Sage has a graphic on canvas by a local artist (Tony Abeta) that is simply mesmerizing. This stands in stark contrast to the fiberglass and plaster faux art on the lobbies of the casinos in LV & Reno. Just sayin’. The people on staff are heart-warming and graciously welcoming. Another contrast to the “big” casinos. Finally a sincere thanks to our casino host, Alicia. She was ultra helpful in getting a room at the last minute when my wife and I decided on the spur of the moment to drive down to New Mexico.

My husband and I stayed there Thursday Sept 27 and Friday, 28th, 2024. The room was very basic, which was fine, On Thursday p.m., there were only two places open to eat, both on the lower, casino level...we ate at Race Book Bar...not so good, my husband had fish and chips and was not feeelong well on his stomack all night. The next day, on Friday, there was one restaurant opened on a main level but we wanted something simple so I got ruben sanwich from deli downstairs...most of it ended up in a trash. Next morning, on Saturday, around 7 a.m.,my husband went to get me some coffe from Starbucks, next to the lobby, after 40minutes, I decided to go look for him thinking something bad happened to him..., no, thank God, he was just waiting in this loooooong line! One person behind the counter, doing it all. Just received my final bill: $621.11 You know what i call it? RIPP OFF!!!

We recently stayed at the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder. It was a Tuesday night and neither of their restaurant's were open. The ONLY place to have dinner was at a small bar off the casino. How can a full scale Hilton Resort not offer a restaurant for dinner. Not up to Hilton standards from my perspective. Additionally, while the hotel was clean and nicely appointed, the hall carpets were worn and tired, and the room a bit dated. Sorry, but not a great experience.
