Gross. Pool area completely abandoned with towels, drinks and food left everywhere. Had to call the front desk from my mobile for clean towels and was just transferred around and eventually ignored. This place is in no way up to Fairmont standard. They are trading purely on the history and location of the hotel. No acknowledgment or benefit of status.

Great hotel ! We stayed here for three nights at the end of our California tour from the UK, hotel is as expected having stayed in Fairmont as before but with a bit extra it is a special Hotel with a good vibe !! Restaurants are good breakfast was lovely, sometimes tables a little too close for me, room was lovely with a great view - housekeeping quite late a couple of times so we missed out but other than that a good stay

Great location and exactly what you’d expect at a Fairmont. Everything comes at a premium (make sure you’re sitting down when you get the bill at checkout) but it’s the nature of the beast if you want quality. Hotel is due a tidy up but it’s perfectly liveable, rooms are fairly good, restaurants are great, pool area is great (but be there early to get a lounger)!

The legendary (100 years as a Santa Monica gem) Fairmont Miramar delivers incredible service, memorable experiences, outstanding food, and embraceable staff. My wife and I returned after an 8 year absence (and six previous visits) and rediscovered the charm and warmth of the Miramar. Chief among the many positive features were staff like Jordan and Kitty (Fig Restaurant) and Annalis (pool). These superb staff were charming, courteous and hard to say goodbye to. Our stay was my retirement gift and it was an experience and place where everyday cares slipped away.
