Do not have an event here

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Do not have any events at this location / Give them your business.! They will gladly have you sign contracts without specifications of any details regarding said contract to get your business, then take your money, no if ands or buts. We were going to have an event at this location. We had multiple conversations regarding event and details as we are from out of town and were relying heavily on the event staff to assist in preparation. We made the mistake of trusting them & letting them convince us to sign a contract via multiple emails regarding the event without having any other details other than the event location and day of details. After giving a deposit (Which were told was non refundable) we were excited for this upcoming event. As life does happen we had to cancel our event and move on assuming we would be out our initial deposit, cutting losses and moving on. Come to find about 4 days later our credit card charged another 50% of the venues total for the event. After a total lack of compassion regarding the situation, which had forced us into the reason for our cancellation. Gladly, they said that we were at fault for failing to notice a small portion on one of the last pages regarding cancellation, on a contract they had emailed and pushed us to sign... As if taking a large deposit upfront was not profitable enough they had to come back and charge us 50% for their convenience. Please do not give them your business as they will charge you, then charge you again to double up no matter the situation...

Just stay away or at least away from the "energy efficient"building

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This hotel is surprisingly awful. The 2 primary problems that essentially create an overall poor experience were massively subpar housekeeping and upkeep, and really poor customer service bordering on rudeness from the reception staff. To start I was placed in a dirty basic room in the "energy efficient" building which I think is just the building with the bad rooms. There was a large amount of hair in the shower drain and ants everywhere. After i reported it i was moved into a similarly basic motel-like room where the phone didnt work and the curtains were broken preventing me from closing them. They suggested I wait until the morning to get them fixed but I insisted on being moved to a 3rd room which was a bit of an upgrade and actually acceptable. Housekeeping is every other day but they didnt even empty the trash. or wipe anything down. They just made the bed and took away the used towels. When the internet didnt work in my room the reception told me to call the Hyatt tech department. Imagine asking the guest to sit on the phone with IT! Its just soooo bad here. I check out tomorrow. A local told me they are really the only game in town so it explains why they are so lackadaisical about optimising their guests experience. I would never stay here again.

Decent hotel

The hotel does not do daily housekeeping. Also parking is $20/day. Knowing these 2 things before arrival will help with your stay. Overall it's a nice hotel within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the train station. About 40 minutes from the wineries.

Mediocre Dump

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I spent two nights here as a Hyatt globalist. Really wish I had seen more honest reviews, and I would have stayed elsewhere. It’s in dumpy condition and needs some love. Ants everywhere. Poor customer service, housekeeping that ignores DND signs, no upgrade (hotel was empty), and an obsession with the nickel-and-dime. (“I don’t know why the $20 parking wasn’t added for my first night. Why don’t you add it?”). I won’t be back.

Georgie and the team are the best in guest live and care!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I LOVE IT HERE. I have titanium elite status with Marriott and yet every time I come to visit my family, I stay here at the Hyatt. Everyone from Georgie, the manager on down to the incredible team at the front desk, to the kind Smiley women who clean the rooms, everyone here Acts like they love their job and they love you! The amazing chef in the restaurant even makes us special vegan pancakes! This will be my third visit and I can’t wait for the next one. Also, in these chilly months, the hot tub is dreamy! THANK YOU GEORGI AND TEAM!!!
