My daughter and I stayed at the hotel during torrential rains/flooding/landslides. Most of Santa Teresa lost power but Hotel Nantipa did not because they have three generators. We stayed in a room with two queen size beds. It was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated. We had an outdoor enclosed area to lounge. All the staff were wonderful but Charlie and Mariana were exceptional! They both went out of their way to accommodate our desire to change our plans at the last minute and fly to the Caribbean side of the island where the weather was better. I left my glasses at the hotel and Charlie arranged to have them flown to the San Jose airport so I could pick them up prior to my departure to the United States. He followed up to make sure we arrived safely at our ferry and again to confirm we had in fact, reached the Caribbean😊 I definitely felt like the staff genuinely cared about us and our experience. I attended a morning yoga class, which was excellent, and had a fantastic deep tissue massage at the spa. We had numerous meals at the restaurant, all of which were delicious as were the drinks. I would definitely stay here again (preferably in the dry season, lol)!

A great hotel with beachfront rooms and high level service. Seems very well maintained and the rooms are quite modern and well equipped. A few points to note - their beach is not accessible due to rocks so requires a bit of walking to a nearby beach. The breakfast needs some improvements and they can be more generous if you ask for another coffee or a loaf of bread. Overall a great place for a few days in ST.

What an absolutely incredible and amazing experience at gorgeous Nantipa. a splendid beachfront resort at Santa Teresa, Costa Rica! Definitely a Blue Zone experience. This lovely resort is all about graciousness, professionalism, sustainability, hospitality and beyond! Alina and Erika are two employees who helped to make this a five star experience. Marian, the lead concierge and the wonderful employee who took us on a hotel site inspection and tour, definitely personifies La Pura Vida, and took excellent care of us during our stay there. We had the pleasure of meeting the Resort owner, and can see why our experience was five stars....he is there nearly every day making sure that his guests and his employees are happy and taken care of. We are definitely coming back and bringing clients and guests with us soon! Five star experience the entire time we were there! Josue Quiros, the Room Division Manager there, has a first class team working with him!

This resort is amazing and the folks working there are all so friendly. Highly recommend. The beach is perfect and the good surf spots are so close. The rooms are beautiful and all private and tucked away. The food was great and the music they played on the beach was very nice.

For the price paid in the lowest season of the year (+$600 night) this hotel does not offer the quality of experience we were looking for. Stayed at a nice suite with comfortable bed that has a minipool, yet we felt uneasy about using it due to lack of privacy (cleaning staff cleaning paths and neighbors can see from other suites on the sides, you should put textiles or something else to avoid this) and cold water (you can use the solar system of the shower to heat the minipool up). Internet worked poorly and we couldn't connect to tv apps. Electric current went off 4-5 times, which means no power generator in place. Breakfast was pricey (pancakes and omelette), obv. not included, yet greasy; Italian expresso was not executed to standards (too large, not creamy, too hot). Cookie at departure seems a copy of the Hilton cookie, yet the paper became so greasy we decided not to eat it. Overall, it felt staff needed more training, it felt they were enthusiast but a bit invading, insisting and not preparing food to the standards of other places visited. There are several 5 stars hotels in Costa Rica that for this price can offer much better experiences. Being "sustainable" or "green" cannot be confused with mediocre performance. Disappointed.
