Reviews for Mandarin Oriental, Santiago

A perfect stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Our stay at the hotel was perfect, as always, the guest relations team prepared everything as I expected. The Feria Descorchados was an amazing experience in which we could taste one more time the wonderful food Mandarin Oriental always prepares.

A fantastic hotel.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

The Mandarin Oriental was the best hotel I have stayed in many years. My opinion is not based solely on the physical accommodations which were good. The best aspect of the hotel was the staff. Everyone I had an interaction with was fantastic. I will gladly stay at this hotel again when I return to Santiago. I thought enough of the hotel and its staff to contact management directly to tell them of the great time I had there, along with the specific names of the employees I thought went above and beyond the call of duty in their jobs. The Matsuri and Senso restaurants were both great, and the staff at the outside bar and pool were extremely attentive. The service at this hotel would easily make a hotel with mediocre facilities look great. The Mandarin in Santiago has the advantage of being a great hotel with a great staff.

Memorable Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Santiago and was thoroughly impressed with their service. A special mention goes to the thoughtful gesture of a birthday card from the Director of Rooms. It was such a personal touch that showcased their excellent training and commitment to making guests feel welcomed. The room was fantastic and made even more special by a complimentary upgrade, which added to the overall luxury of the experience. However, I must point out a couple of cleanliness issues. The dusting in the room, especially in the bathroom area on the shelf, seemed to be neglected. Additionally, upon entering the room, we found a pair of socks next to the curtains, which were overlooked during the initial cleaning as well as during the turndown service. These are small but important details that need attention. Despite these minor setbacks, my stay was beautiful and memorable. The property is stunning, and I would highly recommend it to others. With a little more focus on cleanliness, this hotel could truly be flawless!

Holes in the sheets

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

It took an hour longer to get our room ready, then we were initially told. After we checked into the room, everything appeared to be fine until we were getting ready for bed, then we notticed that the sheets had holes in them! I took photos and showed them to the representative. Upon checking out and the only response I got was, "thank you.Have a nice day"
