The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago

This a good hotel in a safe area of Santiago. We enjoyed our short stay and found staff to be helpful and courteous. As others have noted in some areas the hotel is looking a bit tired but overall the service was as you would expect for a 5 star hotel. The air conditioning wasn’t great and we found our room to be very stuffy. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be excellent. We also made use of the club lounge prior to leaving for the airport and appreciated our late check out.

Check in was a breeze, staff were polite and efficient. Our room was well appointed, generally clean, and in good condition. The bathroom was nice, good water pressure, none of the pump bottles in the shower worked. The big disappointment was the lack of working A/C, which resulted in a less than restful sleep.

I am a Titanium traveler on Bonvoy and have stayed in many different hotels. At the check in the people were not friendly and did not even try to accomodate an upgrade or explain why it was not possible. When I wanted to check out they took a long time and had to leave without my receipt. They stated that they would send it by email. Which they did not. The level of service is not at the standard of a 5 star hotel.

Excellent solid hotel in Santiago for the price point . Right in the business district so everything is right there within walking distance but the hotel is secluded and sheltered from the hustle and bustle. Great staff and service. We had a great room with a balcony/terrace. Room decor is traditional maybe slightly “dated” but didn’t detract from the stay. The staff are on par with Ritz Carlton quality. The property could do with a refresh soon. Perfect stay before our trip to Easter Island.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this hotel. Staff were pleasant, attentive, and always ready to help. The lobby is bright and spacious. The check-in/out process was quick and easy. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Wi-Fi connection was excellent. There is turn down service. Room amenities were as can be expected. This property is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It's around 30 minutes' drive from the airport. A great place to stay in Santiago.
