This was a solo journey to Santorini I was made welcome at the 9 muses straight away with a welcome drink of sparkling wine. Nothing was too much for the staff who were friendly and efficient a rare combination. The hotel was beautiful and clean as was the pool area. The food was a buffet with a lovely selection something everyday delicious and fresh thankyou Denis the chef. Special mention to the staff Mariana,Elisavet,Vasilini,Cina,Elpnvn, Ahmed and Nikos. Sorry for anyone I have not mentioned. The barman makes the best aperol spritz I have ever tasted sorry I did not get your name. On the negative some areas could do with an update. Bathrooms in the standard room walk in shower maybe?. And the spa area especially the jacuzzi. Thankyou to the manager Gergious? You run a wonderful hotel I left feeling relaxed and happy.

Whilst travelling to the airport, we received a call from Easyjet that they had changed our hotel to the 9 Muses. We were disappointed, as we're looking forward to the hotel in the centre of Perissa, however we did not really have any other option, so we accepted the change. The hotel is very well laid out but lacks any form of charm should you wish to eat and use the bar in the evenings. The rooms are quite dated and basic, and although there is a fridge, there are no tea/coffee making facilities, which you would naturally expect from a 5 star resort. The pools are kept in excellent condition, and there are toilets and showers located close to the pool area. There were always plenty of sunbeds for guests regardless of which time you arrived, although there were strong sewage smells on occasions, which nobody could identify what was causing it. The hotel is located very much on the outskirts of Perissa and takes about 10-15 mins to reach the beach and restaurants. The resort on whole is very nice, but certainly not 5 star. The staff are extremely helpful, especially the reception, and try their best to make you feel welcome. Although we had a pleasant week, we would probably not return for the reasons stated above.

On arrival to Santorini we were told our hotel was over booked so we were being reallocated to 9 Muses. We weren’t happy about it because it wasn’t where we had chosen but didn’t have much choice so had to go with the flow. We were pleasantly surprised, the hotel is lovely and the reception and bar staff can’t do enough for you. We were upgraded to a suite with our own private pool, and whilst our room was very nice and clean it was a bit tired and certainly wasn’t the standard of a 5 star suite. We were happy with the gesture of the upgrade though and it was nice to have the privacy of a private pool and terrace. We only had breakfast at the hotel and that was perfectly fine, not to our own personal tastes but there were lots of options. The main pool was always very quiet and we made good use of it for our morning lengths before breakfast, the pools are very cold but a good swimming temperature! It was very clean and tidy, the staff work hard cleaning and looking after the guests. Overall I found it a very calming hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful, it was also only a 10 minute walk to the beach front which we loved. We would stay here again!

This hotel from start to finish was flawless, when we arrived we were blown away by the layout of the hotel, we were greeted by an amazing man at reception called Andreas who we soon became great friends with, we made an effort to visit him everynight as he was the loveliest man we have ever met. We were greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival and then shown to our room. The location of the hotel can be difficult to reach certain areas on the island, however the public transport and taxis are reliable. Everyday we lay by the pool and the staff were amazing. The only bad point of the stay was at one point our air conditioning stopped working, but after raising the issue to the reception we were taken up to our new room which was lovely. We must give a special mention to the nightshift worker at reception andreas, I have never had such an amazing experience with any member of staff in all my 30 years of travelling abroad. He was absolutely unbelievable and he was very attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable! We will definitely be back next year. Best stay ever!

This hotel is a 3* and is being sold as 5*. The room we stayed in other than the bed, everything else was very below standard, shower not fixed and dangerous, rusty old bathroom room suite. I travelled with my daughter and we were put on the ground floor near to the main entrance which was kept open no security, so didn’t feel safe and complained but could not be moved until day 4 but was too late, so put up with it. Breakfast was absolutely disgusting, if they class themselves as 5* they should have someone making pancakes, smoothies, crepes etc, none of this - all food very below standard and better in the restaurants close by. The pool area makes this hotel and that is it, which is shown in the pictures. Also the female staff serving need to have their hair tied back, especially dealing/preparing the food. They struggle to understand English which is poor too. The age of the staff too is very young and they seem exhausted, by the way the toilet paper I asked for I never got. The hotel excursions used with the hotel were very good to Oia and Fira, they were provided by an outside company. The hotel is close to the beach, but no sunbeds on the beach provided like other 4*/5* hotels in the area, will return to Santorini, but definitely not to this hotel. Though we made the most of our holiday and had an excellent time in Santorini. 9 Muses you need to step up or you need your star rating changed to 3*/4*c for next year’s tourists.
