Not going back…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Well…we loved the room. Eclectic. Interesting. Well appointed. But then it all went south from there. Had dinner at Coastal 15. Manager tried to put us in a tiny corner table but i said no. Then given a nice table by the window. But really? Reservation days in advance? Waitress was lovely but food came out with the wrong orders. Manager then taok back the wrong order but by the time the right order came, i was finished with my dinner. Not the way to celebrate an anniversary. No apology drink or dessert. Really? Then we had parked our car with the valet service. They sent us the link we had to use to get the car. Well…it seems you can’t use that link…you have to use an app. An hour later…. No, we will not be back and i hope the powers that be learn a lesson. Mistakes will be made…but please try to rectify them with a solution that makes everyone feel happy or special.

Wonderful 3 night visit

First we had a recommendation for this hotel from friends. I looked at several hotels in this area and some hotels had up to $75 a day additional fees & taxes… we did a package with JetBlue vacations and I gather all hotels add taxes when you check out- this hotel had 34.50 a day. But let me say WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Location was spot on! Rooms were comfortable and ours overlooked the River! The site of those huge container ships goi g by was ama ing! Southern Hospitality oozed in this place! They couldn’t have treated us any kinder or welcoming! Breakfast was wonderful , the roof top bar was a such a treat… just a special place to stay! Easy walking from here all over the historical district. Restaurants all close by- just wonderful!

Lush and comfortable hotel with good breakfast and nice rooftop bar.

Very comfortable accommodation, 'over the top' style but cool. Bar is nice with good views and friendly staff. Overall all staff are lovely. Food is very good in the restaurant. The restaurant breakfast service is very slow. It's in a good location.

No Soap for You

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Bring your own soap.... TItanium elitę member on one night stay with some other couples to enjoy Savannah. Early check in honored with room on 8th floor - entire end of hallway with fans trying to recover from flooding day earlier. Had to walk thru soaked carpets to get to room listen to constant fans as well as multiple vacuums attending to issue throughout day and night... not sure if only room they could put us in but so be it. No hand soap for sink, only fixed bath gel on separate shower wall, but nothing for sink in toilet area. Called and a sked for some hand soap, over an hour later called again and asked guest services again....about 45 minutes later got a call back to say no hand soap available at all....in entire hotel.... Stayed at lower end Marriotts that at least had the small bars to wash hands after using toilet, but guess out of soap too high a hurdle for this hotel to solve.... Staff were pleasant but overall underwhelmed with experience and will look for other options next time in Savannah.

Not a great experience

We like the Bohemian concept and have stayed in Greenville, Asheville, and Charleston in the past. First timers in Savannah. We had a disappointing experience, starting with our room not being ready at 4:00 check in time. Things happen no big deal and we went to the rooftop bar to have an early cocktail and wait it out. Awesome setting. My beer came with a chipped glass, and I didn't want to chance the chip being in the beer so I asked for a new glass. Our waitress acknowledged but took orders and served three other tables before replacing the glass about 15 minutes after asking. After finishing, we went back to the lobby and our room was ready and they gave us a $30 voucher to use in the restaurant, presumable for our trouble. When we got to the room, the floor was part tile, part rug, and the tile was greasy, almost slippery. The towels were damp and made me wonder whether they were re-hung. I hoped not. The walls in the bathroom had bubbling paint. Large bubbles, not small (room 512). The toilet seat would not stay up. The front door lock was broken so that I had to use my key to close it (deadbolt remained extended and would not disengage without the key even with the door open). Neither light by either side of the bed worked, nor did the USB port on either light. Bed was comfortable. When we got up in the morning, we went down for breakfast at about 7:15 (opens at 7), and it was devoid of staff - we waited about five minutes for someone to show and left for Starbucks across the street. Each issue we experienced was slightly annoying, but when we added them all up, it wasn't a great experience.

We found the Bohemian Hotel in Savannah to be a great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast came with our package. We found the food to be very good and in over-sized portions. You won't leave hungry from breakfast!! They even have cold bottled water at the front door, to take with you as you walk around the lovely city. Overall we would highly recommend the hotel.
