Located on the banks of the Savannah River in Georgia is a hip hideaway that epitomizes Southern charm. Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, with its maritime overtones and modern sensibilities, houses just 75 fascinating rooms in the town's scenic historic district. The public rooms feature a textured ambiance, with driftwood, aged brick and original works of art working in concert to create an eye-catching motif. Guest rooms, which have a modern maritime feel, are also rich with fine materials that include grained wood, worn brass and smooth leather. The entire hotel experience rests on the absence of ordinary, where unexpected pleasures and pleasing palettes of color reveal themselves at impromptu moments.

We like the Bohemian concept and have stayed in Greenville, Asheville, and Charleston in the past. First timers in Savannah. We had a disappointing experience, starting with our room not being ready at 4:00 check in time. Things happen no big deal and we went to the rooftop bar to have an early cocktail and wait it out. Awesome setting. My beer came with a chipped glass, and I didn't want to chance the chip being in the beer so I asked for a new glass. Our waitress acknowledged but took orders and served three other tables before replacing the glass about 15 minutes after asking. After finishing, we went back to the lobby and our room was ready and they gave us a $30 voucher to use in the restaurant, presumable for our trouble. When we got to the room, the floor was part tile, part rug, and the tile was greasy, almost slippery. The towels were damp and made me wonder whether they were re-hung. I hoped not. The walls in the bathroom had bubbling paint. Large bubbles, not small (room 512). The toilet seat would not stay up. The front door lock was broken so that I had to use my key to close it (deadbolt remained extended and would not disengage without the key even with the door open). Neither light by either side of the bed worked, nor did the USB port on either light. Bed was comfortable. When we got up in the morning, we went down for breakfast at about 7:15 (opens at 7), and it was devoid of staff - we waited about five minutes for someone to show and left for Starbucks across the street. Each issue we experienced was slightly annoying, but when we added them all up, it wasn't a great experience.

We drove in and didnt get to the hotel till 9:30pm. The hotel is beautiful. Check in was smooth. We had a river view room with a balcony.....if you can, get the balcony. The view is amazing. I was told when we were leaving they have champagne every day at 4 in the lobby? Was not told this at check-in. I definitely would have joined in for that. Beds are comfy. Room is clean. Location is in the middle of River Street which was perfect. Loved the roof top bar. We went there after our long trip. A woman yelled out to us, when we walked in, to order at the bar what we wanted because shes alone and wont be able to get our order at the tables outside....there was only 3 tables occupied. Little uncomfortable at that comment. We placed our order and went outside to a table. The bartender was a very nice man who brought our food over and checked on us. I wish the tip went to him only because the waitress was useless. I would go back to the hotel in the future.

Room 612 Pros: Great location, staff and view Cons: Bathroom water didn’t drain, no refrigerator or microwave Restruants, shopping and historical sites all close. City tour and Boat Ride was fun. Visited several recommended food locations

Great service. From the moment we pulled in Jayden greeted us with a smile and great service! Jayden brought an umbrella over for the rain and took care of what we needed. The whole staff was kind and Ms. JV was very attentive and kind during the check in process!

The Savannah location is underwhelming compared to others from the Kessler Collection. We've stayed at the Greenville, SC property a couple times and at the St Augustine hotel once. So, our expectations were high. The contrast in service was the biggest disappointment. On every level. Nothing about any of our encounters, nor observations, was Kessler quality. Our guest room was clean & had nice amenities we've come to expect but it was super dark. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, but at $200 for two of us (and we don't drink alcohol), it's pretty pricey, albeit tasty. Being welcomed with a $51/night valet parking bill wasn't awesome, either. At $400/night after all the taxes, fees, parking, etc. this is a hard pass next time around. Had the staff been more welcoming, friendly, professional and polished, it would have been easier to overlook some of the other mediocrity.

We found the Bohemian Hotel in Savannah to be a great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast came with our package. We found the food to be very good and in over-sized portions. You won't leave hungry from breakfast!! They even have cold bottled water at the front door, to take with you as you walk around the lovely city. Overall we would highly recommend the hotel.
