Having hosted celebrities, dignitaries, authors, and presidents it puts guests only steps from the trademark landscaped squares, moss-covered oaks, soulful restaurants, and memorable architecture that so vividly define Savannah. The hotel boasts 245 luxurious guestrooms, complete with hardwood floors and spa-like marble baths, and each room comes with a view so no matter which side of the hotel you stay on, there is something interesting to look at. A luxurious rooftop pool on the second floor, a gourmet-to-go coffee bar, and two chef-driven restaurants complete this beautiful hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel! From the moment we arrived, the reception made us feel very welcome. The location is incredibly convenient, placing you within a short distance of everything. We had several tours scheduled and found it easy to walk to each meeting point. There are also some nice restaurants near the hotel, such as Public Kitchen and Bar, Trailer Park Hitch, Husk (though we didn't particularly enjoy this one), and Collins Quarter. Additionally, The DeSoto's on-site restaurant, "1540 Room," is amazing. We had both breakfast and dinner there, and both were spectacular. Highly Recommended! The menu is interesting and creative. It was our favorite restaurant, and we've dined at Vic's on the River, Bistro 45, Vault Kitchen, and the Pink House, etc. They were good, but Room 1540 was exceptional. Our room was very spacious. We stayed on the 12th floor and had a beautiful view of the Old Town. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We will definitely stay there again and plan to try their other hotel Ballast, in Wilmington, NC, in May on our way to Hilton Head!

This hotel is AMAZING! Raven at the Front desk has the BEST customer service i have seen in YEARS! This hotel is beautiful and the location is where you WANT to be in Savanah close to everything. They have a coffee bar in the lobby with an amazing man as the service person. I am truly excited and blessed they had a room available and they were able to accommodate my family. Thank you all so much for making our stay amazing!

The Desoto is a classic older style hotel with all of the necessities onsite. The location is reasonably close to all of the Savannah highlights and the staff is very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good place to stay at a reasonable price.

While our hotel was extremely beautiful and provided excellent customer service, I must say our highlight of our trip was meeting their staff member John Earl! His southern hospitality and delightful personality made us feel like welcomed family. Not only did he make our stay more enjoyable, we gained a new BFF out of our stay. We will be going back to the DeSoto and be sure to visit our new friend!

The Desoto is an absolute gem in the city! From the moment we drove up and throughout our visit we were greeted with true southern hospitality. The hotel itself is stunning but it was the staff that made our stay extra special. Alaijah gave us great tips for restaurants and getting around the city. Howard told us about places to not miss, Nick made the best cocktails in the hotel bar. But it was John Earl's genuine, friendly and fun personality that will have us coming back next visit!
