I would go back to this hotel. The pros include an extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff, hard working housekeeping who come daily without being asked, great water pressure and nice towels, excellent location, and a small pool (didn’t use). The cons were that only 3 of the 5 pieces of equipment in the fitness room were working, rooms are a bit bare bones…likely due to the number of pets they accommodate, and the dogs. This chain is known for not up charging for pets so most rooms had dogs in them. There was one dog on our floor who was left alone in the room and barked and threw himself against the door into the night. I had ear plugs. If hearing dogs barking in the lobby or from your room is going to bother you, probably best to pick another option.

First off, this hotel’s location is fantastic. Situated at the end of the “River-Walk” you have quick and easy access to all of the best restaurants and shopping in “old-town”. The hotel itself looks like a former government embassy that they have renovated into a hotel. Maybe it was, maybe not, but it has multiple centralized open courtyards; one with a pool. Parking is provided via Valet only and vehicles are parked across the street in a designated parking garage. The Valet parking isn’t free, as there will be a $30 “Transportation” fee on your bill. I only spend a single night, so I do not know if it’s $30 per day, week or just a one-time fee. Additionally, staying in Savannah comes with multiple extra Tax’s and Fee’s. I paid an additional $60.15 in Tax’s and Fee’s for a single night’s stay, so be careful and read the fine print… however you’re going to run into that no matter where you stay. I was upgraded to a “Balcony” room and the room was very nice, clean and modern. The bed was surprisingly comfy and the bathroom was immense, with a giant soaking tub and separate standing shower. There was no separation/privacy between the tub & shower and toilet however, so don’t plan on being shy if you’re traveling with someone. As a diamond elite member, they treat you like royalty! I was given a $50 per day credit at the onsite resturant (which was very good) as well as bonus points and a very thorough gift basket that included a bottle of wine. I travel to Savannah frequently for work and this place may be my new go-to hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at the Brice. Adeina at check-in was so welcoming and nice. Every time I came down for coffee or anything else, Adeina was there with a smile or helpful advice to my questions. My mom and I had a great weekend and can't wait to come back. The manager Jason was very helpful as well. Please don't go by some negative reviews online and form your own.

The hotel is beautiful. Phenomenal, kind staff. Jason at the front desk was so awesome, accommodating and wonderful with me & our dog! I love this hotel! We’ve stayed before and we’re definitely staying again!! Can’t wait to go back! Having the historic area right outside the door and being able to walk to the river & restaurants was perfect!!

I chose the Brice because their price for a King Suite was right; the hotel is 6 to 8 blocks removed from tourist central and my consistently excellent experience with Kimpton. In hindsight, the Brice is an OK hotel, but not a great one. My primary beef was with our King Suite (distinct from a Spa Suite and one of two in the hotel per the Front Desk), which was a real downer. Suite 257 shares a wall with the service elevator and Housekeeping Central for the floor. First you hear the whirr of the elevator's motor then the ping of its arrival. The noise is intrusive. Add to that what sounded like the spin cycle of an industrial washer and you begin to get the idea. The smart thermostat is so smart it takes 10 to 15 minutes to figure it out, which is annoying. After you finally set it, temperature adjustment takes hours not minutes. Our king bed had been made with Queen flat sheets draped over the mattress, but not tucked in because they are too small. If you roll over during the night, they wad up into a ball and you are sleeping on the mattress pad- gross. In room Coffee makers are not standard. Our was delivered without cream and sugar. The suite living room had no window and one piece of furniture, the world's least comfortable sectional sleeper sofa. The interior nature of the room should be mentioned in the room description. In general, "runs like a Swiss watch" is a phrase you don't need for the Brice. Like the Front Desk guy said, "nothing happens here quickly".
