Reviews for Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows

We keep going back...

This resort has a nice spread out layout, with groups of 6 rooms scattered on the large property, with grass and big trees and various lawn games! The bathrooms are enormous .. the shower alone is larger than a typical hotel bathroom! There is a modern mid-century influenced vibe with the architecture, art, and furniture. It is a very comfortable place to hang out! We also have enjoyed many meals at Weft and Warp, they have an interesting menu not typical hotel fair.

Great spot for a relaxing golf trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Excellent resort that met our needs perfectly. Visited with friends on a golf trip and the Andaz was well located in Scottsdale, central to all of the courses we were playing. The resort has a modern feel and decor, with individual ground level bungalows. All rooms have a small outdoor space with seating. The grounds have games and fire pits for the cool winter evenings. The heated pool and hot tub were great, as was the pool bar. Rooms were nice, bed and pillows were comfortable. Check in was easy and included a complementary prickly pear lemonade (with or without vodka!) Would definitely stay again

Relaxing in Luxury

Fantastic stay at the Andaz Scottsdale! I cant remember the last time I had such a great stay somewhere. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and modern. The breakfast at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The service was perfect from the moment we checked in. Room service made the room pristine each day. Staff even brought us water while sitting out by the pool. Will definitely be back next time we are in Scottsdale!

A Stunning, Laid Back Oasis in the Desert

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows provided a serene setting for a holiday getaway. The location provided the best of all worlds: tranquil grounds within easy reach of Scottsdale’s amenities, and good eats are close at hand including national chain favorites Chart House, Fogo de Chao, and Houston’s. ARRIVAL A big hiccup with pre-paid sedan service provided by the hotel’s third-party vendor. This was reserved through the World of Hyatt app. Instead of being met by a driver at baggage claim holding a an iPad with my name on it, I got a text from a taxi driver saying he was outside Door 3. Wrong answer! If I’m taking my bags to the curb, I’m catch an Uber for a third of the cost, which is exactly what I did. Ruth made it right when I arrived at the hotel so it’s all good. One of the bellmen, Andrew, provided a warm greeting, assisted with the bags and ferried me to my bungalow via golf cart. Early access granted along with complimentary Globalist upgrade. ROOMS Saarinen Suite was clean, functional and modern. Some reviewers have incorrectly described the interior aesthetic as mid-century modern. Not quite, but fans of Eero Saarinen are treated to a replica of Saarinen’s iconic 1940’s era “Womb Chair” in each suite. The exterior architecture is definitely modern with the Guest House channeling Frank Lloyd Wright. Saarinen Suite showers are the biggest I have seen at any hotel anywhere! His and hers shower heads in a stall as big as one you might find in a men’s locker room. HOUSEKEEPING Excellent! Rooms are cleaned while one is at breakfast. Turndown happens during the dinner hour. Although beds aren’t actually “turned down,” water is replenished, curtains drawn and mood lighting is set. PALO VERDE A smallish but luxurious spa, excellently maintained with wonderful indoor and outdoor amenities. There is no men’s locker room attendant so one is left to fend for himself as far as finding stuff like personal care items, towels and robes but it is all there. Nice steam room which is essential after a good massage. Speaking of good massages, you will want to ask for Lisa! She is great at listening to where your problem areas are and working out the knots with expertise. FITNESS CENTER Very disappointing! Unless you are doing cardio, skip it. Suboptimal, even by hotel standards. I asked the hotel driver drop me off at LA Fitness. POOL The main attraction! Perfectly heated for winter to feel like bath water. Nice fire pit in the pool area. Cabanas are comfy with chips and guacamole tray, fruit platter, sparkling water, and flat water all included in your rental. The poolside dining servers will treat you like royalty! Food and drinks are prompt and served with a smile where ever you are in the pool area. You don’t even have to leave the pool or jacuzzi. WEFT AND WARP Nice breakfast menu but no buffet. Dinner cuisine is to die for. Parpadelle(?) was my favorite entree followed by the Wild Bass. Michelin star worthy in my opinion. Desserts are insane! I came close to trying them all before I left. The presentation is sheer artistry. Just Peachy was my favorite. Very attentive servers that will leave you wanting for nothing. CHECK OUT Effortless. The staff were quick to correct my bill and have me on my way. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out the day we left so no Globalist late check out available. “Back to reality,” as Andrew said. …and cold weather climates.

An amazing staycation

We had an amazing stay at this resort. The grounds and hotel were expertly maintained. The food and service were excellent. The spa experience was extremely relaxing. Can't think of any areas of improvement to suggest. We had a great time on an overnight stay.
