Fun 50's vibe. One of the best things about the property is that there are two pools. One pool has a fun vibe, loud music. Then there is a 2nd, lap pool, that is quiet enough for taking a relaxing nap in the sun or reading a book, you don't hear the noise from the other pool.

I loved the '50s vibe. The pool area was lively, if you wanted a serene experience there is a 2nd lap pool which is peaceful. The location was good, close to old town but not too close. The restaurant vibe was a little boring, especially the outdoor space.

Hotel has undergone a refresh and buildings 5 and 6 are in the process of getting their remodel. Still a fun place to feel like you’re back in the 50s getting ready to mix a great martini. Perfect location and walkable to all of old towns dining and shops. Staff was especially helpful with providing recommendations and info (Kyle at front desk and I believe Meghan?). We were upgraded to the executive suite which was a nice surprise! Would love to see this space again once it undergoes its transformation. Overall fun place with a nice vibe, and professional staff plus it gets you in close proximity to enjoying Old Town Scottsdale!

The Hotel Valley Ho WAS awesome. Was as in “used to be” awesome. We’ve come here annually for many years and have always had a 5 star experience. It seems the VH has lost its edge. The attention to detail is sorely missing. Not sure if it’s management, poor training, or just a lack of interest. The bar was apparently understaffed, with dirty glasses stacked behind the bar. On three different occasions our glasses were dirty. The great ZuZu patio is stained with rust spots, many of the supposed brand new chairs are dirty or stained. Tattered towels at the pool. Brand new furniture in the room with drawers that wouldn’t stay shut. There is no way housekeeping couldn’t see all three drawers wide open every day… yet there they stayed. We love coming here, but I’m afraid the lustre is gone and the VH may be slipping to becoming an average place. We will definitely stay here again one more time in hopes they bring things back to the way they were. It’s too great of a place to fade away because of poor quality control and attention to detail.

The most amazing experience we have had in quite awhile together. My fiancé and I stayed here for a staycation weekend and visited the spa. You have to get the soaking tub in the middle of the room. That was magical. This whole place was like that. Food? Awesome. Spa? AWESOME. Service? Awesome. Ability to forget the world exists? AWESOME. About the only negative was the main pool has a DJ/Bar that is kind of loud and that really isn't our thing anymore. But they have other pool areas set apart that are quieter. Really anything you want to do while you are there you can and you can forget anyone else exists which is all we really wanted. Can't say enough about this place and we will absolutely visit again. You owe it to yourself to try this place.
