I come to this resort every year with my mom and it is fabulous as usual. The level of service remains high as does the quality of food. Breakfast at M&C was always nice, Espicially with in interaction of the falconer always being willing to share how knowledge and show off how working bird. The Tavern has improved even more since last time seceded here. The menu is improved and it was delicious. The valet team was always happy to get us to and from via golf cart promptly. As a Bonvoy Titanium I was upgraded to a pool view room on the top floor and was able to secure a 2:30 checkout (since it was not busy for new arrivals on a Sunday). Brad who checked us in was very good and made sure to make my status feel valued! The pool service was great with Jared & Cade being the two highlights. The reason this review gets 4 stars vs 5 is because of the pool construction currently going on. The noise was not an issue as the had a live DJ. But I was told the reason the pools were so cold is because the heater was not working well due to the renovation. It really made the pools quite cold. It the grand scheme of things not a huge deal and once the renovations are over it won’t be an issue. We will be back.

Sprawling resort. Beautiful cactus garden with path along Camelback Mountain. 3 of out 5 pools were closed for renovation, and only one was heated well enough to enjoy, and only on one day. Food was ok, but not great for a resort of this supposed calibre. Restaurant servers were very friendly but service was super slow, particularly at breakfast. It was off-putting to be told there is a wait list for a table in a mostly-empty restaurant, at every visit. Very friendly staff but thoughtless. The golf cart driver refused to wait even for one minute for us to gather our things when we were moved out of our completely dark room to a better one. I had to carry a heavy bag a long way to the new room. Not cool. The resort needs alot of repair. Every exterior door in our building had paint missing on the bottom quarter. A hinge on our door was hanging by one screw. A lamp flickered from a bad connection. The shower head faced the shower door making it impossible not to be sprayed with cold water when turning it on, not to mention flooding the bathroom floor. The sink drains were shut with no way of opening them. Room carpet was quite unclean. Our room was made up each day around 5 pm which was annoying and the beds were half-heartedly tidied at best. One evening we found chocolates on our pillows, but not the next. In general, everything seemed uneven. My daughter and I joined my husband during a conference. We do love Arizona and have had fabulous visits at other hotels in Phoenix and Scottsale in the past. We won't be returning to the Phoenician given the expense, the uneven service, mediocre food and the poorly kept property. If you do end up there, second floor casita rooms are bright with lovely spacious balconies.

Nice rooms except the blinking security lights all over the room. Very rude service at check in on Monday night. Expect better service at over $1k a night. Conference facilities are nice and modern with excellent staff. A bit sprawling and long walks but good in winter when it’s not too hot Room service takes over an hour and a half ant 7pm on a Monday and you don’t get any estimated arrival time. Really? A $72 salad (yup with fees and BEFORE the tip the request) takes that long. Cannot imagine how long cooked meat takes.

We stayed in the casitas Building m overlooking the golf club Second floor If I knew upon check in the location and that our room was on the second floor I would have asked to switch Second floor is very hard with strollers and luggage. . . So ask before . . . I didn’t know - the casitas that are located on ground level have a fire pit outdoors so that looked nice - so be sure to ask for that. . . There was no bell man to bring or take out luggage upon arrival or check out. . . And having to bring 4 luggages up a flight a stairs is not what I’m paying for in a 5 star resort! I was truly disappointed Second the view was horrible - I felt i was in a city - parking lots and the building of the golf club - I was paying quite a lot of money only to have a horrible view and a horrible room that was dirty and wasn’t cleaned until 4 pm every day The toiletries like cotton and q-tips were never refilled and that’s the bare minimum. . . The positive If you like golf- this is a great place. The golf course and driving range are great! They had plenty of events and things for kids to do! Plenty of pools and space for kids to run around If you have a pet - they let dogs around which I didn’t like - a minus for me - but a plus for others cause soooo many guests had dogs here . . : Pickleball tennis 🎾 courts were great! We had our kids take a tennis lesson the pro was energetic and very knowledgeable . . We played both tennis and pickleball and the courts are well kept and taken care of

This was one of the most disappointing resorts we have ever visited. My husband had planned a big surprise for my 60th b-day going to a warm sunny place in November to enjoy the beautiful pools this hotel offered. Upon arrival we encountered very persistent valet attendants. Without checking in they insisted on taking our suitcases from our car and holding them until we checked in. After standing in a very long line to check in because there was only one attendant available and the line was out the door, I took a walk only find that the entire main pool was under major construction. Something that was not mentioned prior to reservation made or at check in. After check-in we were told about the two pools available, however, the lower pool was off limits due to a convention. So, we really only had use to the smallest pool on the grounds. We then had to wait for our car to load it back up to head to the other end where the casitas are located. We reserved a casita, a little more exclusive and private. Once we got settled in, we realized right outside our door they were setting up for the convention dinner, no privacy at all. The casitas are very outdated, not very clean, mattress needs to be replaced and the tiny shower was covered in mold (see photos). We headed to the hot tubs that we were told would be available. Currently it is a maze of construction to get through only to find one of the hot-tub is off limits and the other had warm water with no jets. The next morning, we requested a room change, we were moved to the main building. The rooms are much more spacious and updated and all though it has a large bathroom the shower is still very small. We had a very nice balcony that would normally oversee the main pool. If you like quiet, this is not the spot. They have their private events there every night. At the time we were there you either could hear the party and music or the construction noise. We asked what options they could offer us as the front desk was also not aware about their hot tubs off limits. We were offered a one- day pass to the spa for the next day. We decided to give the spa a try. Apparently, something they don’t normally offer. Upon arrival, the spa manager was already aware we were coming and was very gracious as he proceeds to let us know there was an electrical problem on the men’s side and the steam room was not working. The spaces are separated for men and women so we would not be able to spend our time together. We skipped the spa. On this second day when returned from being out all day to a room that had not been serviced all day. We called to get it cleaned and were told they would send someone. The evening housekeeper that does the turndown showed up, was very apologetic for the morning staff but could only get trash and send someone else. After waiting for 45 minutes a lady showed up with towels and a lack of desire to clean anything. If you are a golfer, the course is beautiful and the gym was very nice surrounded by glass with views of the grounds. Overall, this hotel was very disappointing and for the cost I would choose something newer and with better service.

We stayed at The Phoenician in Scottsdale for three wonderful days that included golf for two. It was truly a phenomenal value.

My husband and I stayed at The Phoenician in Arizona. It was the most beautiful place anyone could stay that wasn't on an ocean. They also have a spa to die for! This resort will have you stress free by the time you leave. There was so much to do on the property that you didn't have to even leave to enjoy yourself.
