Scottsdale is the place to go for art, shopping and nightlife in the Valley of the Sun. Now there's a hotel creating even more desire around the desert experience. The Saguaro has arrived, bringing with it a new look to where Old Town, the Arts district and Civic Center Mall meet. Bright, lush and vibrant, it's a fresh face amid Scottsdale's buzzing downtown scene. Guestrooms & Suites: The Saguaro experience begins, fittingly enough, outside amid the arid weather and brilliant sunlight of the Sonoran Desert. Each room exterior is accented by the color of a native desert flower, creating a visual spectrum throughout the resort grounds. Inside, your room's primary color is joined by contemporary and natural furnishings in wood and leather, including hand-crafted pieces imported from Mexico.

I’m sure it’s great for a party weekend. But honestly the room was disgusting. There were handprints on the wall. A section of wall had been cut out and then repaired with a metal sheet. I’m assuming there was a shower issue. I had better and bigger bath towels as a broke college student in my dorm. Oh ya and disposed blunts left on the balcony.

This place is a complete mess!! Our room dirty and smelly! Sheets stiff and thin, towels were worn and leaky toilet. Ice maker in Building 3 is a moldy mess!! 2 star motel at best!! Good reviews must be from people who own or get paid to write nice reviews of this disgusting roach palace!

Our experience at Sonder was the worst hotel experience of our lives. We arrived around midnight and, having checked in on our phone, went straight to the room. Immediately we noticed an odor somewhere between a porta-potty and a mildew-filled basement. When we turned on the light we saw that someone had already been in the bed. There was nobody at the hotel to talk to so we had to go to a different hotel. When we called the next day we were told they couldn’t refund us or cancel any future nights. You would do well to avoid this hotel and this company altogether.

Beautifully minimalistic, everything in our room had a modern look, and the entire grounds were stunning. Loved the view, and it was so quiet all night long. We were pleasantly surprised with the elegance and high style. We’ll be back for sure.

This place is a total joke. They painted some damp old hotel rooms yellow and are trying to pass it off as a Scottsdale resort with resort prices. Our room was musty and damp, old AC unit plus tons of street noise woke us up all night long. Stiff uncomfortable sheets. Leaking refrigerator. Slow wifi that couldn’t support the streaming they offer on the tv half the time. There’s no cleaning offered during your stay and extra supplies cost $$. We used all our towels up mopping up the leaking fridge. Pool is decent but was unfortunately overrun by a loud group of kids and a dad playing unsafe and rowdy games - encouraged by the hotel staff. We didn’t even touch the spa because the prices were totally prohibitive and if it’s anything like the quality of the hotel it would not have been worth it. They try to minimize the need for hotel staff with their minimal services, but the interactions we did have were mostly rude and unfriendly. The lobby was strangely very beautiful and inviting - I can’t figure out why they don’t put half this amount of effort into the rooms themselves as no one really uses the lobby and rooms are self check-in. The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is that it’s in the heart of old town Scottsdale which was a great location, walkable to shops, restaurants, and civic center. So if that’s your single criteria then go for it. I’ll be avoiding the Sonder brand in the future.
