When the property now known as The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle debuted in the Roaring Twenties, it marked the arrival of the Pacific Northwest – until then, hotels of that caliber were found east of Chicago. It hosted countless galas, debutante balls and presidential visits – JFK stayed here in 1961 – and, in 1979, joined the ranks of the National Register of Historic Places. Italian Renaissance architecture and Old World style meld into a centrally located Seattle landmark that hosts a AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant and one of the city's oldest oyster bars.

Fairmont Olympic never fails to give us the escape we need. We loved grabbing a drink in the lobby, ordering room service for dinner and breakfast and enjoying the pool. The Olympic hotel is a beautiful hotel with exceptionally kind and attentive employees. We were greeted with a warm smile and a helpful hand starting with the valet, carrying on to the front desk, and staying through to everyone we came across at the Olympic bar and those that delivered our room service. We cannot wait to stay again soon.

My husband and I live north of Seattle and our daughter gave us a gift certificate to the Fairmont for Christmas. We have driven past the hotel several times, and I always wondered what it was like inside. I couldn't have imagined a nicer experience. The hotel is gorgeous and the fun bar in the middle of the foyer give the place such energy. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Our room was very nice with thick towels, high quality linens, and an amazing mini-bar. Always worth mentioning in a downtown hotel -- our room was also quiet. It is a short walk (albeit uphill one way) to several downtown attractions (we walked to our concert at Benaroya Hall without any problems, and hills and stairs can be hard on me sometimes). We booked a couples massage with Robin and Regina and they were both great. My husband and I agreed that the massages were among the top five we've had. I recommend this hotel without reservation.

It was an amazing stay. They really took care of my 3 kids. I had plush toy for them waiting in the room , kids bathrobes and slippers. What a hit!! Then of course the pool is super fun and breakfast was a great experience at the George. We even met the General Manager at check out, what a gentleman!
