This is a boutique hotel, a Marriott but “M Gallery” which is presumably a label designed to convey that this is not a standard Marriott and so don’t expect vending machines on each floor. The hotel is an old 10 storey brick building on a corner which has been nicely refurnished. Because it’s boutique, the lobby isn’t that spacious, and the doorman isn’t always there and the services are a bit more limited. But there’s a restaurant attached and you have pretty much everything you need. You miss a nice water cooler and morning coffee in the lobby (there’s one of those airport bottle refillers round the corner by the code entry bathrooms) but you have a good location and a nicely appointed room. Only 2 slow elevators, but the rooms are nice. The bathroom was a little cramped and the toilet flush had the noise and power of what I can only imagine the jet thrust of an F16 taking off from an aircraft carrier sounds like. A very comfy King bed, and a nice sofa to lounge on, big TV. As with all American hotels, the room was very dimly lit, I’ve never understood this. The location though is very good - basically walking distance to many of the main central Seattle sights. Even so, the immediate environs has more than its fair share of weed and crack smoking and homelessness on display, which can be a bit confronting to those not used to it. Central Seattle has beautiful busy streets and then the very next one can be deserted car parks with obvious drug deals going down. So some caution is needed. We were comfortable walking from and to the hotel into the early evening, but were taking Ubers for dinner. We thought this was a nice hotel and if we stayed in central Seattle again we would revisit.

This hotel was quite a surprise. I actually wasn’t expecting that much from it but the design was fantastic and I absolutely loved the location. The restaurant downstairs was so good I ate there twice - yeah Alan which is saying something because I rarely go to the same place twice. The staff were all super friendly and very helpful and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough

Unbelievable hotel experience. The vibe is so chill. The recently renovated rooms with the Scandinavian aesthetic are extremely calm and inviting. The Nespresso machine is a welcome touch. Love that the ice is bagged and not in a clunky ice machine. The living room feel to the lobby with the large fireplace made a great place to gather for after dinner! Highly recommend!

Stop looking elsewhere and book this hotel. One of the biggest selling points is the design and the well appointed rooms. I'll get into that in a moment. The staff is first rate! Every interaction was met with a smile and a greeting. The moment I pulled up with the luggage, the bellman and valet attendant were ready to assist. I interacted with probably 4 or 5 different front desk agents/ attendants, who made the check in process easy and efficient. All the amenities were explained, and restaurants pointed out, including the clever ice refrigerators in the freezer drawers in front of the elevators on each floor. The rooms have all the details thought of, including the fun Nesspresso machine for single cup use. I have one at home, and loved this one too. There is a drawer with more treats and a separate drawer refrigerator, for other snacks and drinks for a charge. The menu located in the drawer. Lighting is carefully thought of, with different levels of light throughout, depending if you are working at the desk, or need the night light on near the bed. Even the lighted mirror in the bathroom was welcomed, when selecting a different hue of light for daytime makeup or something more dramatic at night. There are soaps and conditioners available for purchase if you like them, great scents! Full size bottles attached to the shower walls, and separate for the sink, providing a user friendly "green" experience instead of individual bottles. Hair dryer located in the drawers, and a fluffy robe in the closet to use during your stay, also available for purchase. THE BED!!! There is a comfortable mattress topper or foam something. It is one of the best night's sleep I have had in a long time. Knocked it outta da park on this one. Let's talk about the location. Its very centrally located just a couple blocks away from Westlake Center, Pike's Market, Cruise Terminals, Amazon, the downtown in general. Getting around on the Link light rail from the Westlake center is so easy, although for a more luxurious option, The Hotel Andra can arrange a private car to and from the airport or other specialty location. The Food choices in both Lola (Greek) and Assagio (Italian) were perfect. Tom Douglass greek influenced flavors showcased local ingredients, like salmon! I ordered the gavlox for breakfast. Assagio Restorante is led by owner and Chef Mauro Golmarvi. Its' true, first time diners are welcomed as if they are old friends. We orderd a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. I didn't need to go far for first class food actually. To sum it up, try it all yourself. You will pinch yourself feeling well taken care of at the Hotel Andra... until next time.

I have to say that this rating is based on the revolting experience that we encountered in the bathroom of our Junior Suite. Whilst showering after check-in my husband noticed a large clump of wiry black hair under his foot, it was as large as a fist full...we took a photo and proceeded down to the front desk to complain to the front desk manager Mr Andrea, he showed great concern and went to the room to inspect the said hair...prior to the shower I had noticed some suspicious spots on the part of the toilet that connects to the cistern and also thought the carpet looked grotty. After inspecting the hair and getting someone to remove it, at our request he ordered a deep clean of the room whilst we were given a voucher and sent off to the bar for a drink...on our return the room felt clean and the carpet actually looked cleaned, I have my suspicions that the room wasn't cleaned at all before we checked in. I have thought about adding the photo of the hair to this review but it is so repulsive and out of respect to Mr Andrea who did the right thing and gave us the room for half price the first night I will with hold it. Hopefully this incident will bring about some changes to their cleaning regimes and training for their staff. Such a shame as the Hotel does have some positives, the restaurant and bar is very good and the location excellent, The food in the Italian restaurant next door was exceptional. I would look for different accommodation next time in Seattle.
