Amara is a gem among the Sedona hotels. Perhaps you've heard about Sedona's stunning Red Rocks-they are a tad bit famous (for good reason). The scenery here is almost impossibly beautiful, as if an artist made the entire horizon his canvas. Fortunately for all who visit, the Red Rocks are very real and provide the stunning backdrop for our world-class boutique hotel, Amara Resort.

From the initial welcome by hotel staff we had a great feeling. The excellent service started with the valet, and continued with the personnel from the front desk to the waitstaff at Salt Rock! Our spacious room featured comfy beds, a well stocked mini-fridge, and beautiful bathrooms with a rain shower. We ate at the Salt Rock restaurant for dinner and were not disappointed. The signature cocktails were complex and delicious, unique dishes (pig cheek) were expertly prepared, and portions were large enough we didn’t have room for dessert! We had a truly special stay at Amara and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Amara Spa was warm and inviting. Kim was absolutely phenomenal. She used creativity in her delivery of tension release. She would also adjust her focus when needed. I would rate this as the most relaxing massage that I have ever experienced. Top notch. Thank you.

I highly recommend Amara! It’s a splurge but worth it to treat yourself to something special. Five star experience from the moment you walk in. Facility is lovely, staff is friendly, professional and highly trained. The body wrap is heavenly! Tonya who did my facial is the absolute best!! It’s too bad I live a four hour plane ride away or I would see Tonya regularly for treatments! I look forward to going back someday. Thank you Amara for a fantastic experience!

Staff service was 10 of 10. Very attentive to needs and available to provide assistance when requested. Great restaurant and cocktails. View is difficult to beat and easy access to uptown Sedona. Pool, jacuzzi and spa are top quality. Highly recommend as a home base to explore Sedona.

I felt very scammed by this hotel. For about 6x the price of a basic Motel 6 type hotel, that was the room and service that we got (small room that wasn't all that clean, TV didn't work, clock in room was broken, fridge in room was noisy, gym in hotel is tiny and not that well stocked. We'd had to wait 45 minutes and call service multiple times to get some more towels. This hotel, and its spa and restaurants are massively overpriced. It is in a great location in downtown Sedona, which is why I guess they feel comfortable charging what they do, but my advice is to find another place a few blocks further away.
