Amara Resort and Spa

Amara is a very comfortable place to stay - bedding, pillows, towels, service, restaurant and bar. We did ask for some accommodation upon arrival because our room with a view, really was not a room with a view unless you tweaked your neck over the balcony railing. We appreciated how the staff addressed this. The staff, across the board, was wonderful! I will say that the photography on the website does not really illustrate how close to the "main drag" the resort is -- but this was our responsibility to clarify and we did not. Grateful for our week at Amara in Sedona!

I visited the Amara spa with some visiting colleagues after a ridiculously long week. We each did a massage and a facial. Everyone was incredibly nice, they got us all time fairly similar even though be booked like 48 hours before. The spa is beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Everything was so relaxing and the staff thought of everything to make it the most perfect afternoon. My massage therapist was amazing and worked out issued I hadn’t even told her where issues! Laura the lady who did my facial was amazing! She did such a nice job and answered so many questions for me on what I should add to my skin routine which was beyond helpful! Ended up buying a few products and am so happy with them! The day was perfect and Amara really made it for us!

Property is old and not well maintained, especially the exterior of the resort. The pool was dirty and did not see one cleaning staff near the pool our entire stay. In room beverage service was painful, could not get a fridge re-stock despite a number of requests and when it finally got done, was incomplete.

Great property! The views are beautiful, the food is good. The pool is fantastic and the hot tub has a stunning view. The fire pit was a great place to relax at night.The gym is a bit small but was good to have at least something. Martin in the restaurant was really nice!
