Service is the real standout at this hotel. From the always available short shuttle service, to room service, to a couple special requests we made - the service here is friendly, efficient and accommodating. The only slight negative is the location of the hotel, next to a busy highway. However, the layout of the hotel with music and babbling brooks virtually eliminates all the road noise (unless you are up on your rooftop deck). Most rooms do not have the jaw dropping views available at other hotels in Sedona. The limited number of rooms (and guests) was a plus. We loved our dinner at Forty1 - especially their signature cocktails, which were among the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The rooms were spacious and private. Ambiente earned our highest recommendation.

Had purchased my wife a one night getaway for her birthday back in February. And unfortunately a couple days before we were supposed to drive up (Scottsdale native) we had a death in the family. So instead of enjoying a trip to Sedona we were on a plane back to Indiana. I had called and talked to someone and told them the unfortunate news and needed to cancel. I was told by the representative that it was no problem and the credit was good for 1 full year. Fast forward to now , 9 months later. I have called the hotel 50 times over the course of 2 week span to try and talk to someone in reservations. Left countless messages. I did get a call back one time however I was in a meeting and couldn't answer. Was next to impossible to ever talk to someone in reservations. Finally after 2 weeks of attempting we reached a representative to reschedule our previous getaway only to be told it had expired after 6 months. Said it stated so in the email they sent which obviously wasn't a priority at that time dealing with our loss. Turns out after looking back, the email didn't even come from Ambiente, it came from an individual and was unfortunately looked over as I was dealing with more important issues. No exceptions will be made even after talking with Director. Heck, even airlines give you a full year and they are the absolute to deal with. So instead of enjoying a nice getaway, I found out that I donated $1935.00. Almost $2k !

Amazing hotel, staff exceptional, absolutely perfect location for exploring Sedona. We felt a little misled about the dark sky aspect that we read about before... there is no way it is ever dark enough anywhere near the hotel to stargaze, its too central for that. We had an absolutely spectacular view from our cabin, like a postcard. You need to go for the most expensive rooms to get this though, be careful when booking, I think only 7 rooms are not overlooked by other cabins and paths around the property. The in room coffee arrangement was a let down - just a nespresso is adequate! And the coffee from the restaurant is crazy expensive. Breakfast and especially evening meals are truly spectacular, if not again pretty expensive. Incidentally the Mariposa restaurant next door to the hotel is great! We always try to not pick up on minor errors as anyone can have hiccups. But please guys work on room cleaning. We asked for ours to be redone as it clearly smelt of musty mop water, and it was no better the second time. Wiping a white hand towel on the floor proved it to us to be grubby. A simple thing. All said and done, I think we'll be back!

My husband and I came to Sedona for our first time and chose Ambiente. From the minute we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are very unique and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed the beautiful views. Breakfast each morning was delicious and we also enjoyed drinks by the pool each afternoon. All in all, it was great trip, largely in part to Ambiente.

Beautiful location with phenomenal views of the Sedona red rocks. The restaurant on property has great cocktails and the service is top notch. Centrally located in West Sedona near numerous restaurants and Sedona activities. I highly recommend Ambiente.
