Poised on a 375-acre coral island, surrounded by the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, Denis Private Island Seychelles is one of the planetâ€(TM)s most magical retreats. This romantic sanctuary is just a 30-minute flight from Mahé, on the rim of the Seychelles plateau that divides the archipelagoâ€(TM)s inviting shallow waters from the mid-ocean depths. Each element emphasizes the natural bounty of the region, from the elegant sea-facing chalets to dining experiences that include candlelit dinner à deux on the beach. Once a pirateâ€(TM)s lair, the island boasts numerous treasures waiting to be discovered. You might embark on a nature walk in search of local tortoise, board a Mako 34â€(TM) Striker for a day of fishing, or visit the old village, whose buildings date back to the 1930s. Bottom fishing the flats is another popular way to unwind, as is scuba diving, canoeing and exploring the unique, diverse eco-system that has changed little since explorers first arrived on these pristine shores two centuries ago.

What a fabulous experience! Without doubt one of the best holiday destinations I've stayed at. Of course, being a Private Island, this is an expensive place to go but my fiancé and I chose this as the place we wanted to get married and enjoy our honeymoon as part of a longer stay in the Seychelles. Everything about Denis Island surpassed our expectations. The beauty of the island, from the amazing beaches to the conservation area and the various tracks you can explore / cycle. The quality of the food, almost all grown, farmed or caught on or near the Island, totally organic and with zero waste, this farm to table was plentiful and so varied and tasty. The Staff so friendly, attentive and good at what they do. The chalets, private and comfortable and well equipped with use of bikes to explore the island. The Wedding day itself, well planned and organised in a beautiful spot and with the most delicious romantic dinner on the beach afterward. We can't speak highly enough of the experience we had, the memories we've made and the desire we have to go back again one day for a future anniversary perhaps.

We enjoyed truly magical moments at Denis. Everything was flawless: the service was exceptionally attentive, and the setting so serene, immaculate, and soothing that it felt like a sanctuary. Snorkeling at Denis was, without doubt, the most enchanting experience we have ever shared. I already find myself longing to return, again and again.

An incredible place. Exotic beaches, great villas each one of which has its own private beach front, incredible flora and fauna, fantastic staff, great food. Well worth the money. All means are included, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. One of the most beautiful places I have been to. The optimal Mix of luxury and bohemianism…. Make sure to bike around the island, experience all beaches (lighthouse beach was my favorite), and see all the bird types and turtles, as well as the incredible forest.

This was a magical experience. The wildlife is unreal! Bird activity is beyond amazing. This island is full of life! The beaches are to die for! The villas are the definition of luxury! The food is mind blowing! 100% a do over is guaranteed!

Denis is still unbelievable beautiful and wonderfully private, however, since our previous visit 8 years ago some things have changed for the worse. Dinner at night was an absolute highlight and during our first stay there was only one buffet night. This time we had 3 buffets in 6 nights. A buffet is a standby for all 4 star hotels, okay but not special. The increase in buffets felt like a move down market. The buffet food was reasonable but certainly nothing special. The island has always been a haven for birds and they remain as tame and beautiful as ever, unfortunately in order to become ever ‘greener’ they have reduced the amount of insect control. This I’m sure is great for the insects but for my wife with the open air bathrooms insect bites were a nightmare. Sadly all we were offered was a do it yourself insect spray, At £1000+ per night they need to move the guest comfort in line with their ‘green credentials’ We would not return
