Denis Private Island Seychelles

Our stay at Denis Private Island with our family was a true paradise that exceeded every expectation. From the moment we landed on the little grass airstrip and were greeted with warm smiles, we felt like we had stepped into a completely different world. Except the welcome that could be improved and felt a little bit impersonal, most of the team made us feel genuinely cared for and valued (except one at the restaurant who was very cold and didn't represented the Seychelles hospitality). Our cottage was stunning — private, beautifully appointed, and just steps from pristine white sand beaches. The outdoor bathroom and private garden area were particularly magical, creating an intimate and peaceful connection with nature that we’ll remember forever. Many thanks to Gwaru and Bhumesh for beautiful interior and exterior and your sympathy. As improvement, we did, however, find it a little surprized that the children seemed to have been “forgotten.” Generally, in high-end establishments they also receive a bathrobe, towels... and a portable mosquito net would have been appreciated, even though the dry season spared us from mosquitoes. Thank you to the chef and his team for the excellent meals. They were delicious, and a very large portion of the ingredients come from the island’s own local farm. The setting is stunning, and we especially loved the themed evenings organized on the beach under the stars and by the fire, which truly made the evenings magical. The atmosphere on the island is unique and unlike anywhere else we have experienced: authentic and peaceful, filled with birdsong, surrounded by lush vegetation, unspoiled nature, and incredibly beautiful turquoise waters. As there are only a few cottages and a limited number of guests, we were almost alone and often felt as though we had the entire island to ourselves. We loved exploring the island on foot or by bike, through the jungle or along the beach, as well as swimming with the many sea turtles (we saw up to 15 on a single outing). We loved exploring by bike, taking long walks through the jungle and along untouched beaches, spotting rare birds and even turtles swimming nearby. We enjoyed the chance to disconnect completely without phone connexion and just enjoy the rhythm of island life. The dive centre was excellent and we had superb opportunities to see marine life up close, from turtles to colorful tropical fish. In every way Denis Private Island stands out as one of the most remarkable places we’ve ever visited. It was really a magical moment there and... ... we have already booked again for autumn 2026 🌴 But as improvement: we found it disappointing that the manager did not make the effort to come and greet us during our stay, even though we saw him on several occasions. We only realized it was him upon our departure, when we noticed that the name on his badge matched the one on the thank-you letter that had been placed in our room the night before.

We decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in our favorite place in the entire world and we were not disappointed at all. Actually it was really nice to see the same team, they remembered us. Like in January we received outstanding service, they even remembered our every wish and desires. It kind of made us feel at home. The entire team is professional, attentive and shows a commitment to making the guests comfortable and happy. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly and tastefully in various settings (on the beach, at the villa etc…). The diving center is excellent (equipment and courses). Thank you to Bakari and his teammate. We look forward to going back.

Magic one of the truly most amazing places I’ve ever been. The kindest nicest people, an oasis in the Indian Ocean with bikes to cycle, forest paths to trek, swimming in the clear blue sea and incredibly gorgeous local food. Everything was perfect

This place is stunning and great place to go I love it there and the food is amazing and it is also a great place to snorkel and look for turtles, bay sharks and even sting rays! Whe we were staying there their where 4 MASSIVE rays probably a family I would guess we saw them at our villa (villa 20) can’t wait to go back!

This heavenly place was our best discovery; it allowed us to completely disconnect from our busy daily lives and reconnect with nature. Thank you to the entire team for their warm and personalized welcome that made our stay on the island so wonderful.
