Overall an OK stay, but should be better in 12 months after renovations are done. Good points: + Location + The view of Pudong and the Bund from rooms + Staff is good + The construction immediately around the hotel is complete Bad points: - There is a lot of wear and tear showing in the room - large scratches on the desk etc. - Windows in room were not cleaned so it was hard to enjoy the otherwise nice view of Pudong. - The restaurant on floor 2 (Aroma ?) was very crowded for breakfast and these facilities are also in dire need of renovation Front desk mentioned one tower is already undergoing renovation, so should be better in 12 months or so.

Horrible condition, filthy conditions in room and breakfast area. Extremely bad conditions. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst part was the condition of the room and breakfast area. For example holes in the floor in breakfast area and room full of scratches.

Old facilities even in the lounge. Cold French beget. Slow service. Bed uncomfortable. Noisy kids. The problem was structural if I could hear it from four rooms away. Small and low-resolution TV. Balmain is made in China.

I booked a night for a staycation to go swimming. The pool was barely heated, great for swimming laps I guess but my 3 year old son's teeth were chattering after 5 minutes. So, we went into the hot tub in the locker room to heat up. This was absolutely disgusting. There was floating particle in the cold plunge that looked like dead skin. My wife was hung up on when she called to ask about room being ready for check in. As a top tier member, we went to the lounge for cocktails and appetizers, they had sliced american cheese as their cheese plate offering. The only good thing is they got rid of the smell that was there about 1.5 years ago last time I stayed. Still, I will never stay at this hotel again and I am seriously thinking of switching hotel brands to remain loyal to.

The view and the bathrooms were the best of the room. The breakfast was much better than I was expecting. I was surprised that I could have so many choices at breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about the location. I was glad that I got a view room. It would have been ever better that the bedding was a little thinner.
