Hotel OK but poor service at restaurant

Very well located hotel when you need to need to take a flight early morning. Shuttle to the airport. Comfortable rooms with Wi Fi. A bit noisy due to the airport. Restaurant with a very poor service when you arrive late at night: wait, limited choice. Breakfast OK.

Surprisingly Good

Needed a hotel close to NECC showgrounds. Chose this based on reviews. I was totally surprised. Huge Rooms. Five Star Amenities, Lots of english TV channels. Better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed at in China and a 5 min walk to the expo grounds. Super quiet rooms. And very comfortable bed Cons - WiFi horribly slow (not unusual for non international hotels in china). Also connecting to internet required verification to mobile. But didn't work for my foreign mobile. So if you dont have a friend with a chinese mobile you are screwed - there's pretty much nothing in the area. No real choice of restaurants or shopping centers unless you like eating overpriced hotel food next door ( I don't) - no breakfast on grounds but at next door hotel. It a little expensive but pretty good. Kind of a pain to go to a different hotel in the freezing cold. Otherwise I can recommend, Enjoyed my stay

Wonderful time in Primus Residence

I had a wonderful week in the Primus Residence. Clean and beautiful rooms! The staff is very polite and helpful, as well they have no problems in English language. Metro station and the exhibition ground is located next to the hotel area (5 min. walk). Breakfast and dinner offers great opportunities of Chinese and European kitchen, which gives you the perfect start for your day in Shanghai.

My stay at this hotel was the best I have had. The hotel and the entire complex was so well maintained. The room was like a studio apartment with a stove top, refrigerator, washing machine, coffee/Expresso machine. Excellent service from all the staff. The lady manager was extremely helpful getting my internet and computer up and running. These staff members were also extremely helpful Jet Cao, Summer Wei, Jian Hua Li helped almost daily in getting me a taxi, giving me directions or helping find great places to see on Shanghai. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Shanghai.
