This was not our first time at the Four Seasons Sharm but it was definitely our last. The service has gone WAY down! We stayed at a chalet which may have been part of the issue, but is no excuse for the horrible service. First, upon check in, I was told that I owed a fee for housekeeping. Before I even checked in! This was obviously a mistake so I wrote to the owner and she sent me a receipt. But at check-out the charge was still there, and I had to wait for it to be removed. Unbelievable. Secondly, we booked a chalet for 5 people, with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The sofa bed did not have sheets, a blanket, or pillows. I called at night and was told “we will be right over” - no one showed up. When I called the next morning (my poor daughter slept on a bare mattress) I was told it would be $15/day for sheets. For the sofa bed that I specifically reserved for a 5th guest! We were forced to pay the extra charge but I found this outrageous. Third, the chalet included a washing machine and dryer. The dryer would not turn on. Once again I called and was told “we will be right there.” No one showed up the entire day! Finally, the prices for everything were just outrageous — even for a foreigner (we came from the US). $8 for a cup of coffee - they don’t charge that at the Four Seasons in New York! We ended up checking out early (there was a penalty) and moving to another hotel that understands something about service. Very sorry to see the level of service at the Four Seasons so poor.

I’d like to give the resort 4/5 stars however there’s no adults only pools/ beach area which is pretty ridiculous, so it’s a resort for families/ kids NOT adults so it’s difficult to escape prams nappies pushchairs etc etc at breakfast pool areas/ the beach . I don’t think we would return. Irrespective the grounds are immaculate, the food very good, staff exceptionally nice, very good dive centre, our room in the old part of the hotel was very nice

This was our fourth visit to this hotel and our third as a family; we have been going to the Four Seasons in Sharm since 2005. Unfortunately, our overall experience was below par on this occasion and instead of writing a lengthy passage, I will bullet the issues: Positive: - Reservation and arrival all went very smoothly; - adjacent rooms as requested; - gym is in good order; - Sinai Blues dive centre is first rate, although notably not part of the hotel; - service in the main very good, although extremely slow at times; - good variety of restaurants and entertainment. Negative: - The rooms we reserved were extremely expensive and we were hoping that accordingly, they had been subject to a refurb since our last visit. They had not and are tired and dated, even if well maintained; - the concierge service is all conducted through an app. When I tried to book restaurants / spa / golf over the phone I was told to use the app; - restaurants are good, but incredibly over priced for what they are. The New Year’s Eve options for dining are limited to buffet style affairs starting at USD 405 per person, up to USD 650 per person. This is rapacious at best and quite frankly unbelievable as alcohol not included even at those prices; - we asked Concierge to book a restaurant outside of the resort on one evening and they informed us that they are not permitted to do so and we should book ourselves. Utterly bewildering why the hotel would adopt such a policy and really poor form. Never had that before in a Four Seasons and I’ve stayed in very many of them around the world; - absolutely zero acknowledgment of our previous custom and no effort whatsoever to make us feel valued as such. I am not sure we will return, which is so sad given that used to feel so at home at this resort.

This was the worst hotel experience. Had wrong rooms booked and manager wouldnt want to assist us. When i asked for rooms they showed us rooms that did not fit the character of what we booked. And manager chased us from the hotel. Beyond not hospitable and organized badly. Not to the $ of what we deserved and payed for.

Every small detail is taken care of. From the pick up vehicle to reception to beach boys to concierge to waiters at restaurants and golf cart drivers. They make you feel like you are the most important person on the planet. They will remember your name magically every time, they will remember your seat preferences, drink and food choices also. They will be so happy to serve you that you automatically shell out the biggest tips on top of the exorbitant room charges. But it will be worth every penny. It is one of the best luxury resorts you will find in Asia or Africa. Still, the food menu needs to be more extensive. The food taste and quality can be better. Living beside the Red Sea and Nile river, why was I not able to order a simple grilled lobster or crab or white snapper? Why was the rice so very undercooked in every dish in every restaurant? Why was the prawn har gao so very tasteless? Why was there no Thai or Indian soup selection in the pan Asian menu? Great stay and no complaints about the food. But we have stayed in similar great places across Asia and Africa and also been spoilt for food chouces.
