Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa is your gateway to the eighth wonder of the world, the revered temples of Angkor Wat. Only 15 minutes away, it's an easy drive to behold the sunrise in fiery orange and violet streaks above the spires. The resort itself blends elements of contemporary style with its Khmer royal heritage. Expect rich hardwood floors, reclining settees and locally crafted sandstone sculptures of Apsara dancers in tranquil rooms with private balconies.

Resort is as you would expect for the Anantara chain. High end quality and aesthetically pleasing rooms with a good size king bed. Gorgeous swimming pool (light salt which was much better than usual chlorinated ones in hotels). Given the hotel was only 39 suites it felt calm and plenty of space around the pool aswell, given many people were off on excursions most of the day Staff were friendly and the New Year’s Eve gala was the best new year we have had. The food was amazing, free flowing Prosecco and wines all night and Cambodian dancing and shadow puppets before a disco (though DJs were dreadful :-). How to kill a party but thankfully only after new year’s dancing). Only detractors that need to mention Our first room was on the side of the road which meant scooters and traffics from early morning. Some people who are used to a noisier neighborhood at home may not mind but for us , along with the early sunrise temple tourists, this was too much for us. The staff were fantastic though and found us a room on the other side of town the pool. The restaurant was lovely in decor (typical Anantara) and a good choice of breakfast options and high quality. Though evening meal we had had no atmosphere. Almost empty and service though friendly was very slow. I expect that this is due to cost relative to Siem Reap town restaurant options but seems to be a theme on Anantara hotels that their restaurants lack atmosphere (excluding new year which was lovely and the staff was great in seating us outside near the entertainment). But overall this is still one of the most premium hotels in the area , if not the top.

We recently stayed at the Anantara Siem Reap Cambodia, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The hotel is beautifully designed and not overly large, which creates an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The pool area is stunning and perfect for relaxation, while the spa facilities are truly exceptional. Our room was thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities we needed, including a well-curated selection of toiletries. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave each morning! The restaurant, however, left room for improvement. While the food was acceptable, the quality did not quite match the standard of the rest of the hotel. On the bright side, the bar was outstanding, with a fantastic cocktail menu and skilled bartenders who deserve recognition. The staff were attentive and warm throughout our stay, and the welcome we received from management on arrival left a lasting impression. It’s clear that guest comfort and experience are priorities for the team here. One drawback was the pricing of the excursions organized through the hotel. While transportation was comfortable and the drivers were excellent, the markups added by the hotel were excessive. It felt as though the pricing was unnecessarily inflated, which detracted from the otherwise wonderful experience. Lastly, the location is a bit removed from the main action in Siem Reap. That said, Tuk Tuks are readily available and reasonably priced (around $5 each way) to get you to the town center. Major attractions, like Angkor Wat, are about a 25–30 minute taxi ride away. Overall, this is a beautiful property with thoughtful design and outstanding service, but the excursion pricing left us a bit disappointed. If the hotel addresses this issue, it would undoubtedly be a perfect retreat. We would definitely recommend this hotel to those seeking a tranquil stay in Siem Reap!

We really loved our recent stay of four nights. This is an oasis of relax and peace. The very first compliment is for the staff , so welcoming and always ready to help or simply happy to talk with you. The rooms are so nice and everything is perfect , the common areas wonderful , as the swimming pool. It is a place where you immediately feel at ease and where you love to spend time. Breakfast also is so enjoyable , lot of options and an opportunity to discover the Khmer kitchen. Try the Khmer coffee and the Turmeric crepe ! Many memories also from the Christmas Eve dinner .. a very special night !

Hotel felt like an oasis of comfort amid the hurly burly of Siem Reap. Great breakfast options, comfortable room, and great service

Anantara Angkor Resort and Spa offers a luxurious and intimate escape that feels incredibly personal and welcoming. With its all-suite concept and limited rooms, the resort exudes exclusivity and warmth, where the attentive staff make you feel like family, always anticipating your needs with genuine hospitality. The suites are beautifully appointed, blending traditional Khmer design with modern comfort, and offer serene views of the lush gardens or the tranquil central pool. Relaxing by the pool surrounded by tropical greenery was one of my favorite parts of the stay. The resort’s spa was another highlight—indulging in their signature Khmer treatment was an extraordinary experience that left me feeling completely refreshed. Dining is equally remarkable. Chi Restaurant serves an amazing Khmer set menu for dinner, while breakfast is a feast with a delightful buffet, à la carte options like noodle soup and fried rice, and even sparkling wine to start your day on a high note. For evenings, Road6 Bar Lounge is not to be missed, offering cocktails, canapés, and a unique Sundowner Ceremony at 5:30 PM. The lounge is also a treasure trove of cultural knowledge, with warm hosts and books that immerse you in the history of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. Conveniently located yet wonderfully secluded, Anantara Angkor provides a perfect balance of relaxation, culture, and luxury. It’s an ideal retreat for exploring the Angkor temples while enjoying unparalleled service and thoughtful touches. Highly recommended for a one-of-a-kind Siem Reap experience.
