About the Hotel

Just half a mile from Siem Reap’s town center, Sala Lodges are a beautiful, authentic immersion into Cambodian culture. Each lodge has a story. “Muoy,” known as the house with many roofs, came from Ta Prom village, where its carpenter embellished it with ornate, heartfelt details before he and his family moved away. The master bedroom now shimmers with patinaed furniture from India, a country that strongly influenced Khmer culture. “Dop Pi” belonged to Madame Ro Hong, a 70-year-old descendant of Chinese traders.

Reviews for Sala Lodges

Absolutely amazing in every way

The staff and owner could not have done more to make our stay better. They were super attentive while also being extremely discrete at the same time. For example, our room was made up twice a day and despite the fact that we came and went at all sorts of time we never ran into someone in our room. We slept all four of us in the Bram House (5). They made up two single beds for the kids (10 and 15). But the bigger / family house would be great for a family if you want more space (we were fine in the smaller house). The pool was exceptional, and we loved ordering lunch and juices to have poolside. The rooms (houses) and the grounds are so beautiful. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom, cupboard space, great air-conditioning, and lovely balcony to sit on in the afternoons with one of their delicious cocktails. A $2 tuk tuk ride will get you almost anywhere in town from Sala Lodges. Or the staff will take you in their own tuk tuk for $3, which you can charge to the room. I recommend staying here. You will not regret it.

Beatiful gem!

Sala Lodges offered us a truly unique experience within a luxury hotel setting. Each of the homes are original structures transported from various locations in Cambodia. We stayed in #7 House Bram Pi, overlooking the pool! it was beautifully updated with modern features, but continued to have an authentic feel. The tranquil pool offered a serene setting to swim and have a drink after a long day touring the temples. Besides the unique setting, the staff was wonderfully welcoming, kind and helpful. The service was impeccable! I would certainly recommend Sala Lodges to friends and family.

Unique accommodation and amazing staff

I stayed at Sala lodges 10 years ago for my 50th birthday and had such an amazing experience. I decided to have my 60th birthday there with a group of friends. If you’re looking for somewhere to have a special occasion, or just a quite getaway this is the place, with their houses placed around the property so everybody can has their own privacy, with plenty of places to come together and have a meal, drinks or swimming in the pool. I contacted Sala lodges direct to book the houses we needed, from then everything was organised over email, airport transfers, restaurant bookings, activities, they just made it so easy to turn up and relax, knowing everything was taken care of. The staff are amazing, kind and friendly and nothing was too much bother, this just added another layer to a fantastic experience of staying in one of their unique houses. The food was delicious, my favourite was the fresh pastries and bread at breakfast. I chose to have a barbecue for my birthday dinner, which was held at Ma Om restaurant at Sala lodges. Everybody was talking about how delicious the food was wonderful service we received that evening. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this a birthday to remember. .

Beautiful place, great staff

Thank you Sala Lodges! We had a fabulous time with friends, celebrating a birthday and visiting sites around Siem Reap. Our traditional wooden house was very comfortable. You really spoilt us, making sure we had all we needed, especially a cool drink. The food was delicious and the birthday dinner was very special. A big shout out to staff. All of you are amazing. Friendly and attentive. It’s you, who do all the hard work, that make a place to stay in so memorable.

A small paradise in Cambodia

Sala Lodges is a magical place, a small oasis in Siam Reap. The staff is absolutely delightful and friendly. The services offered by the establishment are of high quality and always attentive to detail. The owners, originally from Switzerland, are also very sociable and always ready to help guests. We highly recommend both the breakfast and dinner: fresh, high-quality products. I would recommend this stilt lodge to all my friends.
