A stone’s throw from the empire’s legendary ancient temples, Belmond La Residence d’Angkor, a luxurious modern retreat exemplifies traditional Khmer architecture. Here, tranquil gardens – including a pond dotted with floating lotus blossoms - provide a lush backdrop to a pool and spa on the banks of the Siem Reap River. Nearby, open-air markets attract locals and visitors fascinated by the rich colors, textiles, flavors and scents. This is a thriving town with rich heritage.

The whole hotel facility is amazing! One gourmet restaurant and another more casual. Three bars and two pools. Each very different. One spa, and treatments lovely. And the grounds and decor are fantastic! Now for details... This hotel is two different facilities, on opposite sides of the street. One is more sophisticated and the colour palate is black and white. Exquisite art work everywhere and a pool with a whole wall of cascading water. This was good, because it kept this pool a little cooler, whereas the other one was HOT - sort of like your bath at home!! The other hotel, on the opposite side of the street, is more casual and the pool is in the direct sunlight all day, hence why it is so hot. But it is surrounded by grass and lots of umbrellas, so it is definitely nice. The rooms in this part of the hotel are larger, and overlook the big pool. Three complaints though... the electrical lighting in the rooms is CRAZY!!! There are switches all over the place, and no rhyme or reason as to which one turns on or off what! There is even a 'master' swtch that turns off everything, including the airconditioner, hich is absolutely necessary! When you accidentally switch it off, you have to call maintenance to turn it back on!! Very poor design! The shower is massive, and beautiful. However, it is also extremely slippery stone and we were constantly on guard not to fall. All they need to do is sand the stone so it isn't so slippery and it would be much safer! And finally - the beds are as hard as a plank of plywood!!! Everyone was complaining and had numb fingers and arms because their circulation was cut off in the night!!! We ate at the fine dining restaurant one evening and had the four course set menu. Nothing short of fabulous, and I would go back again and again if I could!! Also ate at the casual restaurant and it is good for lunch, but not so good for dinner. All staff, everywhere, are lovely, helpful and so gracious! We had a spa treatment and it was nicely done and the spa area is lovely, too. I would definitely stay here if I was going to Siem Reap again. Fantastic pllce.

So enjoyed our stay at Le Residence in Siem Reap. The Hotel property is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable & appointed nicely. The restaurant food is nice but not great. Service and staff were very attentive and helpful.

Stayed here few years ago, but remember it well. The rooms are outstanding, cosy and situated around a beautiful garden. The room was large with a nice bathroom area. The hotel was like an oasis in a busy city. It was very quiet and relaxing. When we stayed there was a free mini bar as well as a free cocktail at the bar nightly. I got quite ill whilst here (no fault of the hotel), the staff assisted my wife to get a doctor which was much appreciated. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Well, when you say "Belmond" ... you don't need to say much more, as "Belmond" is a world-wide synonymous for class, elegance, taste, perfect service and friendliness. We were guests at "Belmond La Résidence D'Angkor" for four nights while visiting Siemp Reap and the awesome "Angkor Archaeological Park". After extremely tiring days visiting temples, monuments, ponds and climbing the infinite "steep" stairways of Angkor ... we arrived back at "Belmond La Résidence D'Angkor" at late afternoons and headed immediately to the pool or to the spa, or to both. They were our havens of peace and relaxation, preparing us for the next day at the ruins. I shall also say we ate at the hotel a few times and loved all meals, including the delicious breakfasts. A fantastic Chef's fusion cuisine! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we would love to come back in the near future (or whenever it will be possble to travel safely again). Enjoy!

Enjoyed our stay in Feb 2019 so much we returned in Feb 2020. Great hotel in a great location and fantastic staff. Fantastic activities in and out of the hotel. So pleased we squeezed in our visit before lockdown. Hope to return once international travel allows.
