This is hands down the best hotel in the region! My wife and I stayed here for six nights after a brief stay in Florence (just 1.5 hours away) and wished we could have stayed even longer. The property is gated, and since we arrived at night, the gate was closed, but we easily entered by pressing a button to let them know we’d arrived. Though the kitchen was closed, they graciously offered us food at the bar, including a delicious Florentine sandwich and salad along with nightcaps. The hotel offers valet service and keeps cars securely in a garage. Our room was located on the far side of the property, so they provided quick golf cart service to get us there. However, my wife and I loved the beautiful views, so most days we chose to walk to breakfast. Breakfast was included each morning, and we could enjoy it in the dining area or have it delivered to our room, which we did a couple of times. We had access to amenities at the hotel’s sister property, the Club Room, where the spa is located. They offer a convenient shuttle anytime, day or night, for trips to this other property, which also has a restaurant, giving us even more dining options. During our stay, we explored nearby towns like Siena (30 minutes away), San Gimignano (an hour away), and Pienza (also about an hour), for which we had our own car. For those without a vehicle, the hotel provides car service to Siena for a fee. The front desk gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations for each town, as well as suggestions for our next destination in Pisa. On days we stayed at the hotel, we enjoyed a wine tour at their local winery, complete with cheese and wine tastings. They even arranged to ship wine back to the U.S. for us! We also spent a relaxing day by the pool, where food and drink service was readily available. Overall, it was an outstanding experience. We’ve decided that whenever we return to Tuscany, this will be the only hotel we’ll consider!

A truly luxurious resort. Make sure you take advantage of all it has to offer. Highly recommend using the driving range, doing the olive oil tasting, and dining at all three restaurants on the grounds. Also definitely schedule a picnic, it was incredibly romantic. Views are absolutely breathtaking, we had an incredible stay.

BEAUTIFUL countryside with Italian cypress, wild rosemary, lush gardens and acres and acres of vineyards awaits you at Hotel Le Fontanelle. A picturesque landscape with lovely buildings inside and out. It's unclear if it was an old farm or nunnery that was converted into these pretty stone buildings through out the property. Each with lush greenery despite the dry land around. You are greeted upon arrival with a smile and overview of the hotel, room, restaurants and activities before escorted to your room. Everyone spoke perfect English. Pool was very inviting overlooking the valley where you can order lunch as well. Rooms well appointed with lovely decor - one had outside space. Spa services were fantastic, small gym and an inside pool as well. Dining was very good, but the hotel has another option for adults to stay a short drive up the road and Il Visibilio restaurant which was truly the best fine dining we have ever experienced and we are foodies! It was beyond exceptional. Overall Le Fontanelle was a very special place where you will make amazing memories.

If you are seeking a quintessential Tuscan hotel with all the charm of a 13th century villa and modern resort amenities, look no further. This property is located about 20 minutes from Siena and other nearby medieval villages, wineries, and other points of interest so it is close enough to explore the region but located in the peaceful countryside away from the crowds. The on-site restaurants are incredible especially their Michelin Star Il Visibilio. The service was top-notch.

Beautiful staff and very accomodating for our family and especially our kids. Indoor pool and sauna were amazing. The other Hotel the Club house were also amazing. The winery Vallepicciola which is close (hotel will drive you) is the best winery visit I have encountered in Italy.
