Reviews for Raffles Hotel Singapore

Wonderful stay in a charming hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

The Raffles Hotel in Singapore lived up to my expectations and more. We were escorted to our room by a cheerful staff member who familiarized us with the hotel. Our room was one of the best I have had anywhere with a beautiful large bathroom including a soaker tub and great toiletries. The room was clean, well maintained, and had too many amenities to mention individually. We had an attentive butler who brought us welcoming Singapore Slings and delicious chocolates. Room service was fast and excellent. Great wifi. The hotel has several bars and restaurants including the famous Long Bar but we preferred the elegant Writers Bar. The breakfast room was bright and cheery with a large buffet plus hot dishes on the menu. Location is excellent with nearby shopping and transit, and the hotel is surrounded by pleasant cafes and shops. Staff at Raffles are outstanding and anticipate every requirement. If visiting Singapore for business or leisure, a stay at Raffles will be comfortable and satisfying.

A city-centered luxury hotel with a rich heritage

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I went to Raffles Singapore with my partner for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. We started off our stay with a heritage tour conducted by Mr Roslee, the resident historian. Despite being a resident of Singapore, there was so much I did not know about the history and significance of the hotel. Knowing more about the heritage of the hotel allowed us to have a more immersive experience in appreciating the place we stayed at. Mr Roslee was a very kind, friendly and more importantly humorous guide. We stayed at the State Room Suite King which was very spacious with high ceiling. The atmosphere of the room was very welcoming and modern with little touches of history littered throughout the room as well. The room comes with a complimentary mini bar as well as chocolate bons bons which are delightful. A stay at Raffles Singapore comes with a complimentary Singapore Sling for each guest which comes in either the alcoholic or the non-alcoholic version. It was a very comfortable and luxurious stay at Raffles Singapore especially with the friendly service from every staff. The butlers were very helpful to make our stay a delightful one and made our anniversary celebration meaningful. Before we left, we had our breakfast at the Tiffin Room which served delicious and authentic Singapore cuisines such as the mee goreng. I recommend Raffles Singapore for both Singapore residents and visitors alike to experience a luxurious home with a rich history at the center of the lion city.

CAN'T FAULT ANYTHING ABOUT IT

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We have stayed many many times at The Raffles Hotel and just cannot fault it. We again stayed in a "Palm Court Suite King" suite on the ground floor, which is where we prefer to be located, but anywhere at The Raffles is good! Housekeeping cannot be faulted; our room was impeccably clean. Butlers were very attentive and accommodating along with staff in the Tiffin Room where we had a superb breakfast each morning. The Concierge team are fantastic and very welcoming along with reception staff. Everyone at The Raffles made us feel very special and welcome, as they have always done. My wife and i cannot fault the property at all and highly recommend it. If you are considering staying, don't think about it twice, it's a must stay property. Thank you to everyone at The Raffles for such great stay and we look forward to staying again very soon.

Afternoon Tea & A Singapore Sling

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

If visiting Singapore you have to do afternoon tea at Raffles. The grand lobby is incredibly grand. Tea was delicious and my teapot was constantly topped up. Staff were lovely. After tea visit The Long Bar for a Singapore Sling. The Long Bar is very busy and people were queuing to get inside. Some people seemed put off by the queue but it wasn’t a long wait and was so worth it.

Rough Start, but smooth stay

First hotel in Singapore trip. Very warm hospitality. Very good Singapore Sling. The staff not very attentive when doing room cleaning. But the room was very comfortable. The check in experience was comfortable but could have been more welcoming.
