Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

We had a fantastic 2 week experience at the Shangri la Singapore saying in a Tower room junior suite. The room was beautiful laid out and the cleaning staff carried a very efficient cleaning routine and night time turn down service. We used the Horizon club most days which was certainly worth the extra money. Tried the breakfast down at The Line one morning and it was okay, just very busy. The Horizon club breakfast was a lot quieter and the staff working there are all very professional and friendly. Special mention the Vincent the egg man who always smiled every time you saw him. The pool area was just perfect for me with its 40 metre length pool. Great if you like to get up at 6am to swim a mile before 7am as most days, you have the pool to yourself. During our time there we didn’t see any hogging of the sun loungers and placing the towels at 8am routine. We ate in most of the restaurants and the food was excellent although pricey, but this is similar now to most places in Singapore unless you go local. All of the staff at the hotel were very professional, efficient and friendly. Loved the older style decor of the hotel and the main lobby area is stunning. Overall, we just loved this hotel and will definitely be booking a return very soon.

BEST Service!!! We experienced a good service from checkin & assistance in the room by Mr. Wency. He is very kind, professional & energetic staff. My 2 boys were very happy to meet him. Wency gave delicious chocolates, letter to my boys & make our stay memorable. I wish he’s gonna be in Shangrila when we come back nextime. Buds and Splash were beautiful for kids. Thank you, Wency & to the Shangrila hotel. We will come back again.

The Shangri-La Singapore offers an extraordinary experience for its guests. This is a true luxury hotel, with gorgeous facilities, fabulously comfortable rooms, amazing eateries and other amenities. And the staff, at every level, is nothing but friendly, welcoming and helpful. Luxury like this comes with a price, of course. This is not a budget hotel! But if you are looking for an elegant hotel stay and your budget can handle it, this is a great place to stay in Singapore. (We found a rate of about USD $300 per night through the hotel, but there are deals to be had through third party booking sites.) And, if you plan to go on a cruise out of Singapore, the Shangri-La is conveniently located, a modest taxi ride away from the Cruise Port. Highly recommended.

Stayed two nights - room was fantastic overlooking the pool area. Clean,modern and a good location. Easy walk to shops,restaurants and metro. Staff excellent throughout always checking in and helping - very good. Gym is excellent - wouldn’t be disappointed to train in this facility if was daily - lovely staff cleaning kit too very impressed.

It was our wedding anniversary and we requested for high floor, adjoining rooms, and something to celabrate our special occasion. The reality, we were assigned to rooms at the lowest possible floor, then no adjoining rooms, and for our special occasion, we were given a complimentary cake, the smallest one I guess. At least free. We booked pool view but from our room, we can barely see the freaking pool. Not worth the money.
