Conrad Singapore Orchard

Stayed a few nights at Conrad on our transit home. Location was good as MRT was nearby. Room was spacious and clean but no bathtub. There’s a filtered tap water water which is great instead of bottled water being provided. Breakfast was also great with many choice available. Overall experience was great.

We stayed at the Conrad Singapore Orchard for 5 nights last week in their King deluxe balcony suite. It was one of the most memorable experiences that we as a family had in our many hotel stays throughout the world wherever we travelled. What stood out in comparison with the other properties that we ever stayed was their standout customer service which started even before we checked in. There was an email from the Concierge asking few days before asking for our arrival details, any particular occasion we were celebrating, any particular requests and anything we would specially like to do in our Singapore trip. The check in was very smooth and Ms Jiaee at the reception explained all the facilities and the type of room in detail. She went through all the inclusions in detail and also informed me about the latest wildlife park in Singapore incase we wish to visit the same. The suite was absolutely luxurious with all the amenities including the byredo Mojave ghost toiletries and Tea and coffee by TWG and Bacha coffee respectively. There was also a Nespresso machine and complimentary artisanal cookies were provided daily. The walk-in wardrobe had a Dyson hair dryer in addition to all the regular inclusions. The team had generously organised a special cake and other amenities for my wife as we were celebrating her birthday. Staying at the suite entitled us the use of the Executive lounge on the 11th floor which had breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail with canapés in the evening. The executive lounge managed by Mr.Ramesh and his team was awesome. The service was attentive and polite. Food and drink choices and the quality of the food which showcased some of the hotel restaurants was very good. The breakfast buffet at the Basilica restaurant was one of the best hotel breakfast buffets that I have ever experienced in terms of the variety offered and the quality of food. The service was prompt and efficient. As a hospitality professional I couldn't fault anything. Overall it was one of the best hotel stays we ever had !!! This is a very nice hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the front desk and reception team. We were assisted by Justin, who was polite and professional. There was a small issue with our booking – although we had paid for breakfast, it wasn’t reflected in the hotel’s system. Justin, possibly new, wasn’t able to resolve it himself, so I contacted my booking agent, who then liaised with the front desk manager. Thankfully, the issue was sorted out between them. Our room was clean and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom. One feature I especially appreciated was the filtered water tap in the room – a thoughtful and sustainable touch. The breakfast had a great variety with plenty to choose from. The hotel is also in a great location, making it easy to get around either by walking or taxi. We ordered in-room dining one evening, but a few items were missing from our order. When the missing dishes eventually arrived, it was quite late, so we were only able to eat part of it. On our final night, we dined at Basilico, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, which came highly recommended. The food was good and the service from John was excellent. However, there were a few letdowns: my daughter ordered penne with tomato sauce but was served spaghetti instead. While they offered to correct it, she was hungry and just went ahead with what she had. We also noticed that other guests received warm bread with dipping oils, while we only received bread with no accompaniments. It’s a small detail, but consistency matters, and management should ensure that all guests receive the same complimentary items. There was also a mishap with dessert – my daughter picked a treat that was labeled or assumed to be a chocolate egg, but it turned out to contain coffee liqueur. She bit into it and spat it out. My wife confirmed it was indeed alcohol. I informed the floor staff right away, and I hope this is addressed moving forward to prevent similar situations. At checkout, I spoke with Siri Fatimah about our experience. She was very understanding, polite, and professional, and kindly reduced our bill as a goodwill gesture, which we really appreciated. Overall, this is a lovely hotel and I would consider returning. However, our experience at Basilico is the main reason I couldn’t give a full 5-star rating.

We stayed a week at this hotel. My wife has severe food allergy for mollusks but she loves fish very much (= big problem), especially for cross-contamination. The complete Staff took extremely care of us. They pampered us unbelievaly well by preparing special dishes every time we went for breakfast or dinner. Our stay was so heavenly we are already looking at the calendar to make our next booking !!! We would rate this hotel 6 stars !! There was nothing, really nothing at all, we could wish more for !! With very truly special thanks to: Raphael Hategan Restaurant Manger of Basilica), Senior Sous Chef Chan Yi Min, Executive Sous Chef Attish Pawar and Alvin, Executive Chef Lucca Decalli, Chef Davide, waiter Clive, Beverage Manager Olivier, and not to forget the Lounge Staff Ramesh, Sebe and Monique. We also want to mention our guy of housekeeping who took so well care of our room - unfortunately I forgot his name but he was from Vietnam. Of course our biggest thanks to GM Thomas Hoeborn who trains his Staff in such a good and frendly way that makes this hotel a school-example of Hospitality with a very big H !!! We always book 5star hotel, but this Conrad Orchard wins every contest !!! Congratualtions !!

Visiting this Hilton property was a special treat. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well appointed. The beds and black out curtains ensured an excellent night’s sleep. Our check in was easy and the concierge, Kel Goh, was very helpful in making great recommendations for us. The restaurant and common areas are all wonderfully decorated and very stylish. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. The location is very close to shopping on Orchard Road (about a 10 minute walk) but in a very quiet neighborhood. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay here again when we next visit Singapore.
