Conrad Singapore Orchard

My recent stay at the Conrad Singapore Orchard was very enjoyable. The check-in process was friendly and efficient, setting a positive tone for my visit. The room was nicely decorated with a good lighting system and effective blackout curtains, which helped ensure a restful sleep. The room was also very quiet, suggesting good soundproofing. The hotel's overall appearance was excellent, with all areas well-maintained and visually appealing. The gym and pool attendant was super friendly and helpful, making my time there even more pleasant. Breakfast at Basilico restaurant was excellent, although it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. The staff did a good job ensuring a smooth breakfast experience. Food and drinks quality were upper class and I recommend taking a bit of time to enjoy a longer breakfast, if possible. I also had access to the executive lounge, which was a real plus to my stay. The service there was very good, with multiple food and drink presentations throughout the day. I would like to extend a warm thank you to Monique and Ramesh at the executive lounge for their excellent service; they truly made my experience even more enjoyable. The hotel's location is convenient, being within walking distance to major shops on Orchard Road (about 20 minutes) and just a short 5-minute walk to the nearest MRT station. This made exploring Singapore relatively easy. Overall, the Conrad Singapore Orchard provided a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Its combination of good facilities, friendly service, and convenient location makes it a solid choice for anyone visiting Singapore. Beat

As soon as we arrived here having spent 2 nights in the Conrad Centennial we knew we’d made a mistake. I simply don’t get the reviews which say they are very similar, that is far from accurate. Currently sat in the Exec Lounge with decorators walking through with tins of paint and ladders, leaving doors open etc. Then the Mrs mop with her cleaning bucket comes through and cleans around us. Small and poor lounge in comparison, feels dated. Room is also dated and smaller than the equivalent at Centennial and no bath tub so we’ve cut back our stay to 1 night only and headed back to where we’ve just come from. Yes we maybe very picky but at this price and end of the market expectations are high and this place doesn’t deliver.

The first thing which is great about this hotel is the size of its rooms. They are huge compared to Singapore standards. But, yes it is costly too! I stayed here because we got discounted rates for our company conference held across 2 days. The WiFi quality is very good. You can watch movies without any buffering. The quality of linen, tea and coffee arrangements, lighting and automated curtains are all very nice. The effortless operations of the shower in the wash room and the lovely ceiling shower are all good points about this hotel. The only inconvenience is that the WC doesn't have a jet shower - surprising because we are in Asia and this is a must in every WC. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with not too much of a choice. I have come across cheaper hotels with much better breakfast in Singapore. All other meals like lunch and dinner are above average - special mention for the live meat counters which are really good. Also, offerings of different pizzas was something quite uncommon. Conference room facilities were average with windowless halls. Availability of restaurants serving alcohol from 10.30 pm is a challenge. But, I guess that is an issue with most of Singapore.

Conrad Singapore Orchard brings service to a whole new level. Good communication prior to my arrival. Once there a super professional welcome. As a Lifetime Diamond member, I got a very nice upgrade. The lounge was great and the staff made sure everyone felt welcome. During my stay I had a chance to try out Manhattan cocktail bar, don’t miss it. Breakfast was amazing!

Stayed 3 nights. Overall experience was excellent. Although located a bit off the busiest areas, central Orchard road is walkable within 20min, although Grab was more convenient door to door. Lobby area is never crowded which is a far cry from the busy Marriott like the Tang Plaza or other hotels at Ion. Rooms are spacious and the restaurant for breakfast has a decent selection with very nice staff. Special mention to Clive, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
