Reviews for Pan Pacific Orchard

Beautiful architecture in and out

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

This hotel has worn awards for its architecture and it really impresses from the lobby to the room to the other spaces you may wander to, including the lift lobbies and the hallways even before I step into my room. The decor was warm and inviting; especially loved the balcony that came with an inviting sofa. The rooms come with views of the pool (my favourite), the garden terrace (some greenery and a restaurant) and the cloud terrace (this was the quietest area unless there is a function going on). Both terraces boast views of the surroundings and was quite peaceful but hot in the afternoon. The hotel is on a hill so there is a short unsheltered walk from Shaw House but plenty of shopping and food outlets nearby. This is definitely one hotel that warrants a repeat visit.

Wonderful looking hotel but absent customer service.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel itself is striking, and the pool area is striking. Another plus point is the beds and pillows, which are both super comfortable. Unfortunately, the service level and some of the staff made the experience less than perfect. This was disappointing because this was the most expensive hotel I stayed in over a three-week tour of South Asia and the least welcoming. I felt that many of the staff were disinterested in guests, and the hotel seemed to be understaffed. Breakfast was a little chaotic and involved queuing before being seated. We spent the first 90 mins after checking into the hotel dealing with various room problems. it was nice to experience the design features of the hotel, but I would not choose to stay there again.
