Sofitel So Singapore

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was spot on, easy access to all areas and having Lau pa sat on your doorstep was the icing on the cake. A hotel is nothing without the staff who go above and beyond, special mention to Suga who made the best cocktails in town. Thank you to Christian for helping us find alternative places to go after we cancelled a trip to Bintan. Big thank you to the front of house staff who were also extremely helpful. This hotel ticks so many boxes well done QT.

Stayed at this place a year ago when it was still the Telegraph and I can’t describe how much better this was. The revamp On the hotel is stylishly done with attention paid to the little things. Facilities were spotless and the updated decor made for a much more pleasant stay. Well placed and easy to get to with the staff all working hard to make it a good experience. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic week stay in this beautiful, stylish hotel! Great location downtown, so easy to get around. Wonderful staff with a special mention for Jewell who organised a surprise cake and wrote a beautiful welcome message for my birthday!. Everyone couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. Cool bar on the ground floor and chill rooftop pool bar where we had our first and last Singapore Slings of our stay ( thank you, Sugar ;))

If you're black, be sure and notify the staff you're a guest as you may be subject to unfair treatment by Christian who will assume you're not one. He made a snap judgement based purely on my race and assumed I didn't have a reservation at the restaurant nor was I possibly a guest at the hotel as he asked me to move from my seat in the public waiting area for a couple who had reservations. Management tried to write the incident off as a "mistake", yet could offer no reason for it. As much as they tried to appease me with offers of free food and drinks, the one thing I was never offered, was as an apology. Also, never in any of my hotel stays have I called the front desk, be put on hold and then told by a recording to, "try again later", as it terminated the call. This happened at least 3 times before someone answered the phone. Their spa is off site as is their laundry service, making your stay highly inconvenient, should you require these services. After requesting house keeping, I had to wait almost an hour and half after making a 2nd request before they arrived. QT is pure window dressing. The pictures look great, but that's where their appeal ends.

very nice hotel, the rooms are not large but are enough for a short period. Unfortunately the breakfast was terrible. We had to eat outside the hotel. The advantages of the hotel are very nice and polite staff and the location, close to the marina and a fantastic gastronomic market. I recommend
