The Vagabond Club, Singapore, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The food and music was amazing but the service was not upto the mark, serious short of manpower. I am a platinum elite member and eligible for a 20% discount on the bill but they refused to accept. Nobody seems to be aware of the Marriott schemes

This is an exceptionally unique hotel with an exceptionally memorable staff. RT, Theva, Sandran, and Leah Grace all made my experience at Vagabond Club memorable. I will be back for sure, and hope to see each of these amazing hotel ambassadors again!

Chef Vijeya is an amazing cook! Food was soo good here ! The building decor and very elegant and luxury . Love it here will come back and experience here again . Hope that it will stay consistent and have as good as a time I’ve here here today for my short stay .

We had high hopes for this hotel as it is part of the Marriott group and its website is good. However, it is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in….it claims 5 Star - 2Star at best. At check in we were not offered any help with luggage so had to hump/dump by ourselves. My room was so ridiculously small — a bed with the smallest of gaps around it - made moving and storing luggage a challenge. I opened the curtains and my view was a wall with an aircon unit on it. The taps on the sing were too stiff to use. The room smelled of a mix of chemicals and sewage. The walls were so thin we could hear far too much noise from other rooms above and adjacent. If you had the single tiny wardrobe door open, you could not enter of leave the room as it blocked the entrance. The ‘whiskey lounge’ had potential but was soulless - we popped in for a nightcap but saw no staff or other customers…. We only saw 4 other guests during our 2 days - and 2 of those were moaning about how bad it was! As a Titanium Marriott member, I requested a late checkout and asked if I could hold a room until 6pm as we had a late flight - despite the hotel being empty I was told ‘no’ - pushing further and asking for a more comprehensive explanation and after requesting to speak to a manager, the totally uninterested ‘Amy’ on reception eventually agreed. Breakfast was overpriced and very poor quality. There is no gym and facilities are minimal. I have stayed in the JW Marriott and the Marriott Tang Plaza in Singapore and both are far superior in every way - cleanliness, food and drink quality, ambience, space and service. I am genuinely shocked that Marriott allows this hotel to be part of their group as it undermines the brand. I would never stay here again and could not recommend to anyone.

The Vagabond Club, Marriott, offers a chic boutique experience with elegant Art Deco interiors, cozy rooms, and a fantastic bar. Receptionist welcomed us with warm smile. Breakfast service from Chelm and Sanran makes food even better, Grace makes the best espresso martini i’ve ever had. Thank you! will be back
