Reviews for Jade Mountain

BEST RESORT EVER!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Jade Mountain is the best place we have EVER been. It is WONDERFUL. This is the most we've ever been pampered, and we're returning next year. Our #1 was if we needed to relax and not do activities, we'd be in a beautiful place with open air and a view and not feel we were in some box of a hotel room. This fit completely. We stayed first in a Sky Suite -- gorgeous, spacious, beautiful view - then moved to a Moon Pool Sanctuary 3 floors up. That pool was glorious and added to our relaxation. Alas the pool's chroma-lights were broken, all they did was strobe so we could not use them, but that was so minor we didn't really care. The tubs also have chroma-lights which were cool. You get assigned Major Domos who handle everything for you 24/7 -- all reservations, changes, requests, and surprises. Ours were wonderful! We felt completely pampered. One even made us a surprise aroma therapy bubble bath one night (loved that)!. They handle check-in and -out in your sanctuary too, completely seamless. The food at Jade Club was amazing. We ate at the Jade Club every night, the food was so good. They were careful about allergies, the menu changes every night and everything we had was delicious. Tip: have dessert sent to the room a couple hours after dinner, else we would have been too full to enjoy it. We had thought we'd try restaurants at Anse Chastenet, but the Jade Club was just too good to miss. Also a Bento box shows up every day in your fridge with 3 different yummy snacks so no need for lunch. We did and loved the Indian food cooking lesson -- the chef spent 2 hours instead of one and it was a private lesson. Lots of tasting and a full meal at the end. Wow. They thought of everything: yellow lights don't attract insects, provide a current converter, tons of fans, all room steps have floor lights so you can't miss-step. Things you should know: - There really IS NO other pool for everyone, despite what they told our travel agent. The only non-room pool is in the middle of the restaurant, you could only use it when there are no meals (so 2h/day), so no one does. So if you need a pool, book a pool room. - There are A LOT of stairs and steep hills. If you're not mobile or in decent shape, this is not for you!

Honeymoon in paradise!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent the first half of our honeymoon at Jade Mountain and we had the most incredible stay. We saw the resort on BBC Amazing Hotels and knew we had to visit. It is the definition of luxury, 5 star +! From the moment you arrive the hospitality is amazing. This is without a doubt the most beautiful resort we have been to. The views from all parts of the resort are so stunning I could have cried. Our Star Sanctuary was so peaceful and with the assistance of our major domo we were able to completely relax. Kiran was so tentative and dealt with all of our requests, most of the time without even being asked. Upon arrival he had taken the courtesy of booking our dinner reservations. The food is outstanding - every meal is fine dining with amazing quality ingredients. We treated ourselves to the native lobster tasting menu on our final night with paired wines and it was delicious! The Indian restaurant at Anse Chastanet was great, authentic flavours. However if you are staying at Jade I would recommend eating at Jade Club every night to make the most of your trip. It was fine but it doesn't feel as special as Jade Club and there isn't the same drinks selection nor are the quality of the drinks the same. I particularly enjoyed the daily bento boxes - I loved that the fridge was always stocked with delicious snacks and drinks. This hotel is so special, I was so sad to leave. Another personal touch that I loved was they packed us fresh banana bread for the drive to the airport, the team at Jade are always prioritising your comfort and perfecting your experience at the resort. Worth noting that I was worried about the transfer to the hotel having read some comments on here that the road is uncomfortable - it isn't bad and the driver was very safe and drove slowly where required and is only the last short part of the drive that it's a little bumpy. We cannot wait for the day we can return!

Celebrating

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We celebrated our daughter and new son-in-law at Jade Mountain. A fabulous bottle of champagne arrived at our table on the upper deck which made viewing the Pitons that much better, if that is at all possible! Everything at Jade Mountain is absolutely topnotch and the views of the surrounding areas and Pitons as well as views of the hotel walkways and water lily ponds are stunning. As expected the food was meticulously prepared and served by excellent friendly staff. I never had chicken curry in a pastry before and that appetizer was my favorite. It was such a special night at a very beautiful place - I did not want the evening to end. Thank you everyone at Jade Mountain for making our celebration so perfectly splendid.

Don’t Wait, Just Book It

If this resort is within your budget, stop right now and reserve the days you want. There is absolutely not another property more amazing than this. Architecturally mind blowing with million dollar views at every turn. You’ll want for nothing with your private butler taking care of your every desire. Reserve the Celestial Patio for a private dinner for one of the most beautiful, memorable nights of your life. I recommend Ned if you can get him as your server. The menu and food, in my opinion, stand up to any in the world. This will truly be the perfect experience.

Worth the splurge!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We had booked 10 nights at the sister property, Anse Chastenet but had been expecting to have a view of the Pitons from our room. Unfortunately, our room had a (lovely) view of the bay, instead. A few days into our visit we requested to be moved to a room with a Piton view, if possible. Two days later the manager came back and said that they couldn’t accommodate us (candidly, this is a 50 room hotel in peak season and was full). But…. They instead offered to move us up to their sister property, Jade Mountain for no additional charge. We of course said yes! While we were at the lowest tier (sky) which doesn’t have an infinity pool (just a large hot tub!) the room was enormous, the view terrific, and the whole experience very memorable. We’re already planning our trip back next year to Jade Mountain. While this is an expensive and exclusive resort (only 29 rooms), it backs it up with unbelievable views, fascinating architecture, memorable meals and unparalleled service. And the diving is very close and the reef is in great shape! Well worth it!
