There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

Went with my wife for my birthday. Exceeded my very high expectations. I loved the staff, particularly (Ray the Gardener, Tanisha, Caroline, Lea, Glenna and the breakfast staff, and others.) We had Hilltop 7 which was fabulous with a swing and a big heated pool. It was so EASY to sleep at night as our bed had a bed net around it and the wind made it cool in the evenings. 37 rooms in the whole hotel and it never seemed busy whatsoever. We didn't EVER hear the next door neighbors even though we know they were there. (We hope they didn't hear us but if they did, it was all positive.) We've stayed at great hotels before but this was my favorite HOTEL experience. I loved St. Lucia and the hiking and excursions but I LOVED Ladera. I'd go back to Ladera for Ladera. St Lucia is an added bonus. It's the only hotel room we didn't feel guilty just hanging around in and enjoying the view and each other. Total privacy and you can really let loose ;). Just what a busy couple who is parents to 5 kids need on a romantic getaway. We met honeymooners, young and old people. Such a great place. And we met Christian and Sonya, the managers. They were lovely. Everyone seemed happy to be working there and they were genuine. I'm SOOOOO pleased. Thanks, Ladera. I can't wait to see you again!

I always wanted to go to Ladera ever since I saw its photos from magazine covers. Stayed 4 nights and it didn’t disappoint. Knowing we won’t be going out too much, we also had the all-inclusive plan. Location: the location is superb, right by the Pitons, very close to Volcano, Soufriere, Sugar beach and hiking trails. The short drives also help for people who have motion sickness as the roads in St Lucia are very winding. Food/Restaurant: Food is good but not exceptional, limited choices and varieties. Room for improvement here. The view from the restaurants is incredible. The AI plan made my stay much more relax. Services: The staffs are the friendliest people, they went all the way and beyond to accommodate, help and serve. I couldn't thank them enough. Rooms: We stayed at #K (Gros Piton). It has 2 floors. 1st floor has a sofa, mini bar/sink, dining table/chairs, 2 chaises and a heated plunge pool with a jaw dropping view of both Pitons. 2nd floor has a bed, closet, bathroom and a long bench balcony overlooking the same jaw dropping view. No bathroom on 1st floor. We were given #Q when we requested for late check out, so I also had a chance to see other Gros Pitons layout. Room Q is one big floor with 3 steps down to the bed and bathroom. It feels more spacious and convenient with everything on 1 floor, no narrow stair climbing up and down. However, there’s no view from the bed since the bed was tucked in the back. Also only 1 Piton is visible from the sofa and pool. You need to walk to the edge of wall to see both Pitons. These are just the slight differences, both rooms are gorgeous. Tours/Activities: The hotel offer many tour options and activities inside the resort. The private nature trail inside the property is a must do. Tips: This is for people who attract mosquitos easily. The insect repellent hotel provided is too mild for me. Despite I applied multiple times a day, I still got bites. For people who have problem with mosquitos, bring (stronger) insect repellent that works for you. In conclusion, I enjoyed every minute in Ladera and will certainly return to this paradise in the future.

My husband and I stayed at Ladera Resort in beautiful St. Lucia for our 15 year wedding anniversary in December 2024. Words cannot describe the amazing experience we had from the beautiful rooms with majestic views of the pitons, to the delicious foods prepared by Chef Nigel, to the wonderful hospitality of ALL the staff, with an extra shout out and special thanks to Tanisha, Sheril, Abigail, Vianne, Arielle, Lee and Lorne; you each made it your business to make us comfortable and accommodated our every wish!!! I highly recommend this resort for couples, honeymooners and just anyone that seeks to be one with nature and experience God’s majestic blessings!! With gratitude, Mr. & Mrs. Barrera

Wonderful setting, delicious food, excellent customer service, lots of options for outings. The staff works hard to make sure you are happy. The weather is consistently warm. Dipping pool in the room is a nice touch that we used everyday. The hike around the property is easy. We love it here

My wife and I stayed here, in Dec 2024, for our honeymoon. I am writing this on my flight home because we could not recommend Ladera more, for other couples. It is so peaceful, extremely well run, and nestled into the beautiful nature that Saint Lucia provides. All staff seem to understand that their actions and words contribute to the guest’s all around experience and enjoyment. Everyone seemed ready to go the extra mile for us. We were even upgraded to the room level above ours for our Honeymoon! We arrived to the hotel late into the night (9pm) and were immediately whisked to dinner, after a quick welcome, as we were very hungry - and the front desk team anticipated this need. Our bags were waiting for us in our room, once we checked in. Thank you Yvette for coordinating this smooth arrival after a pickup hiccup. Last thing I will mention here is that if you are looking for peace and quiet or a mix of that and adventure - Ladera is it. Quick shuttle rides down to Sugar Beach, peaceful grounds to walk around, a moderately challenging nature hike with platform viewing for both Pitons, and a 3 story treehouse to explore. Rooms: clean, and spacious. Has an iPad and cell phone to connect with the front desk, butler, or room service at anytime. Views of the Piton and bay are singular. Beautiful and more stunning than the pictures convey. The shower in the Petite Fleur is huge! We spent limited time in one of the 3-wall rooms - but it seemed to have all the necessities of a Ladera hotel room. Service: Really good. Everyone was asking (at the right time) if there was anything or suggesting things they could do - to make our stay a little better. The butler called us to check in, after requesting more water on day 1, to see if we would like the same arrangement. Vanniery - who dropped off our room service lunch after our Gros Piton hike - noticed our pool was making sounds and had the pool worker come by to add water within 5 minutes of leaving. The front desk also arranged for a drop off/pick up and ticket purchase for the Gros Piton hike. We asked for help at 11pm the night before and had a car waiting for us at 830am to hike. Once we arrived, Ladera equipped our driver to purchase the hiking tickets so we were able to get out of the car and immediately begin the hike without any fuss! Spectacular. So cool to hike the mountain that you are able to stare at across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Location: Pristine jungle. It’s immaculate. It’s green everywhere and reminds me of the lushness of Hawaii, without the commercialization. The hotel is only 45 minutes north west of the airport and is very easy to get to. We’ve stayed at properties in the North (Cap Estate) which can take up to 2hrs to get to once you leave the airport. St Lucia is huge! So, it was nice to only have to account for a 45 minute ride back to the airport which allowed our last day at Ladera to be a fantastic breakfast and leisurely mosy around the grounds. We will be back here soon to hike Petite Piton! Thank you Ladera!

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
