Stonefield VillaResort’s idyllic location has hosted centuries of visitors – the island’s earliest-known inhabitants, the Arawaks, left a postcard from 350 A.D. in the form of a petroglyph tablet that can still be seen on the resort’s verdant grounds. Stonefield’s 26 acres were also once a cocoa plantation, and today they yield mangoes, breadfruit and other delicacies that supply the onsite organic restaurant. Airy villas are outfitted in indigenous wood and stone, and guests are more likely to encounter a friendly parrot than another guest. Adventure-seekers will find plenty to do, from rainforest hikes and waterfall excursions to coral reef dives in the balmy Caribbean Sea.

Our favorite place. We stayed in a Piton Oceanview villa. Unobstructed views. Private little pool. No other person can see you in the pool. There is air conditioning in the bedroom. The Mango Tree restaurant is onsite. Room service is available for a small delivery fee. Takeout from the restaurant is also available. The Escape Spa is onsite and they offer a wonderful array of services. This resort is family-owned by a St. Lucian.

This was our second visit to this resort. We went 7 yrs ago and loved it. The villas are very private and quiet with a beautiful view of Petit Piton and the water. This was an anniversary visit and they had flower petals all over the bed and Happy Anniversary written in leaves. The outdoor shower is a very nice experience. Taking a shower under the stars is really fun. Each villa has its own porch, deck, hammock and plunge pool. The Mango Tree restaurant is a great place to start your day or end your day. Beautiful views and good food. We had massages twice during our stay. Sadia the therapist was amazing!

We recently stayed here with just our families and got married on site. We rented the 5 bedroom villa and had plenty of space! The views from not only the villa, but the Mango tree restaurant are breathtaking. Each villa is tucked away in the jungle giving you plenty of privacy! Every worker on site is so friendly, always asking how your day is going and if there’s anything you need. The restaurant has great food, only downside is that they only switch up their menu once or twice a week. We chalked it up to them not wanting to be wasteful with their resources! There’s plenty of other restaurants in the area for you to venture out and try. The town of Soufrière is just 5 minutes away and has grocery stores and restaurants, otherwise other resorts nearby will take you in with reservations. We would go back to Stonefield in a heartbeat and will plan on it for an anniversary trip some year!

Stonefield Resort is nothing short of magical, and our experiences over the past few years have only deepened our love for this incredible place. This was our third visit to Stonefield, and every time we arrive, we feel like we’ve come home. There is truly no place like it, and a huge part of that is due to the amazing staff, especially Valna, who has become like family to us. From our first visit in 2018, we knew Stonefield was a special place, but it was during our 2022 trip when we got married there that Stonefield truly became a significant part of our lives. Valna was an integral part of that special day. She helped make our wedding dreams come true, ensuring every detail was perfect. But her kindness and care didn’t stop there. Over the years, she has gone above and beyond in making us feel like royalty every time we visit. This time, for my wife’s birthday, Valna made sure we felt extra special, surprising us with thoughtful gestures that made our stay unforgettable. What sets Valna apart is her genuine, heartfelt approach. She doesn’t just treat us as guests—she treats us as family. Her attention to detail, her incredible hospitality, and her ability to make every moment feel extraordinary are unmatched. It’s not just the big things, but the little touches that show how much she cares. We can’t thank her enough for all she’s done for us and for making every visit feel like a celebration. She is truly a treasure at Stonefield Resort. Beyond Valna, the rest of the staff at Stonefield are equally exceptional. Every team member we encountered—from the front desk to the restaurant staff—made us feel welcomed and valued. Katrina, who was one of our wedding witnesses, continues to make us feel like family, always greeting us with warmth and friendliness. The Mango Tree Restaurant has become our favorite place to start the day, with the freshest local juice, incredible mango pancakes, and an atmosphere that makes breakfast feel like an event. The views of the Caribbean Sea and the majestic Petit Piton are breathtaking, and the staff always makes dining there such a joy. Our stay in the Hibiscus Villa was once again perfect. It’s our private oasis, a place we’ve come to cherish. The seclusion, the private pool, the hammock, and the peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect retreat to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. We love returning to Hibiscus, knowing it will always be a sanctuary for us. Charles, our private chauffeur, always makes our travel seamless and enjoyable, adding another layer of comfort to our stay. And let’s not forget about the amazing spa experience, with Zea’s magical touch during our couples massage. It was the perfect way to start our trip, and we’ve already decided we’ll be booking a massage on our arrival next time to set the tone for our stay. Stonefield Resort is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to make memories, to feel cared for, and to truly unwind. Valna and the entire staff have made every visit a transformative experience for us, and we can’t thank them enough for their hospitality, kindness, and exceptional service. Stonefield has become our annual tradition, and we can’t imagine going anywhere else. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Our 3-night stay at Stonefield was amazing – the resort is beautiful and the staff is awesome. We stayed at another similarly priced hotel in the area and there was really no comparison. We had an ocean view villa (Gingerlily) that we loved. The view is indescribably beautiful, the villa felt airy and luxurious, and having a private pool with multiple lounging options was perfect. The hotel staff was also amazing. We didn’t find this to be true throughout St. Lucia, but at Stonefield the staff consistently made every effort to ensure guests’ comfort, accommodate requests, and generally check in to ensure things were going well. The hotel grounds are really beautiful, you can tell that a lot of effort is put into the landscaping. We also enjoyed that there is a short but beautiful walking trail, as well as a small gym which combine to provide a solid workout option. If you like the beach, the hotel provides a free shuttle (or it’s a short-but-very-steep walk) to Malgretoute Beach, which was very pleasant. They rent beach chairs (with an umbrella) for $20/chair, as well as snorkel equipment (with beautiful snorkeling!), and serve drinks and basic beach lunch food. They also partner with the hotel so it can conveniently all be put on your room. Another option is to get a taxi to Sugar Beach which — while more manicured and pristine – is also busier and has a slightly awkward dynamic between hotel guests vs. outsiders, and the chair rentals are prohibitively expensive. The food at Stonefield was solid and reasonably priced. Large pleasant breakfast included in the stay (or options to order a la carte), good lunch food, and the one dinner we had on site (Creole Night on Thursday) was also good. Being in the Soufrere area means there are other options that you can take a taxi to, although the only really memorable dinner we had was at the Apsara restaurant at Anse Coastanet (which is worth a trip to if you like Indian food and can tolerate 1 mile of a very bumpy dirt road on the approach that hotel). The Soufrere area is a great base if you’re looking for excursions – there is snorkeling, the Gros Piton hike (a difficult hike but awesome if you like hiking), the botanical gardens/mineral baths and Tet Paul walk (nice pleasant 1-2 hour outings), and a group sunset cruise offered a few times per week which was pleasant as well. Finally, we also got a Couple’s Massage at the Stonefield Spa which was amazing. My wife was 22 weeks pregnant and raved about the Prenatal Massage. Overall we loved our stay at Stonefield and hope to be back!
