Stonefield VillaResort’s idyllic location has hosted centuries of visitors – the island’s earliest-known inhabitants, the Arawaks, left a postcard from 350 A.D. in the form of a petroglyph tablet that can still be seen on the resort’s verdant grounds. Stonefield’s 26 acres were also once a cocoa plantation, and today they yield mangoes, breadfruit and other delicacies that supply the onsite organic restaurant. Airy villas are outfitted in indigenous wood and stone, and guests are more likely to encounter a friendly parrot than another guest. Adventure-seekers will find plenty to do, from rainforest hikes and waterfall excursions to coral reef dives in the balmy Caribbean Sea.

A most enjoyable stay. We received a very warm welcome from the reception team and were made to feel very special. It is a delightfully tranquil and well maintained resort with lots of attention to detail, and very friendly efficient staff. We particularly enjoyed our spacious characterful room with very comfortable four-poster bed, the large balcony with comfortable chairs and hammock, and the individual plunge pool, all in a spectacular location overlooking the Caribbean Sea with an awesome view of the majestic Petit Piton. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the beautifully located restaurant and at lunchtimes took a short taxi-ride down to the beach restaurant at Sugar Beach. This was our second stay at Stonefield and we certainly plan to come again.

Stonefield charm is in the things that come naturally to a place built by a family that stewards the land and cares for the people-- the people who work there and guests. We have stayed in some of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in the world. This was more special. We also did the all-inclusive package. It was worth it.

My husband and I wanted something gorgeous, locally owned, and laid back for our honeymoon and Stonefield was everything we could have wanted! Our villa was gorgeous, the a/c in the bedroom was perfect and we spent all day in our beautiful pool with our unreal view! We had the garden view villa Chalon and it was just perfect. We plan to go back for an anniversary because we were in love with it.

I just got back from staying at the Stonefield Villa Resort for 5 days for my honeymoon and it was nothing short of amazing! The villas are gorgeous, secluded, and romantic. We stayed in the Gingerlily villa with a view of the Petite Piton and the ocean. It has a private pool and I especially enjoyed the hammock on the patio. It's so quiet and peaceful. The rooms have great AC, which is nice when it's hot and humid outside. And even though we are in the rainforest (and there are a lot of bugs outside), we did not see really any bugs inside at all. The staff is so helpful and always happy to assist with anything we needed. We booked the Sexy Experience, which included breakfast & dinner and excursions. They booked all of our excursions (mud baths, Tet Paul Nature Hike, sunset catamaran, couples massages) and car transportation for us and gave us an itinerary upon arrival. They also gave us a phone to reach them on, which we used to call to order taxis to and from other beaches, and to ask questions, or make dinner reservations. There are events and activities that they put on each day/night which was nice - live music, cocktail making class, a petroglyph walk through their garden, yoga, etc. The restaurant is lovely, it's open air with a view of Petite Piton and the ocean. The food is great and they change things up each day so that you don't feel that you're having the same things each day. We especially loved the breads and homemade jams that we had with breakfast each day. I will say that restaurant service is slow. But we found this to be true across the island, not just at this resort. So just know that when you sit down for a meal, it will be a more leisurely pace than Americans are used to. There are a few beaches nearby. We loved Sugar Beach the most. It has white sand and there is a luxury hotel that you can visit their restaurant and bar, and float on the anchored floaties in the cove. The water is crystal clear and calm. There is also great snorkeling at Sugar Beach and you can rent snorkels from a vendor on the beach. Paradise beach has a great local restaurant and you can rent chairs on the beach, but the beach is a little rocky. We still enjoyed our time at Paradise beach as well. Overall we had an amazing time at the Stonefield for our Honeymoon. It's the perfect romantic and luxurious resort, where we felt like we had it all to ourselves a lot of the time even though they were completely booked.

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at Stonefield. We were extremely excited about our visit as it was our first time visiting St. Lucia. Upon landing at the airport, we spent about 45 minutes in line waiting to go through customs. There were about 2 or 3 other flights that landed at the same time. Thinking back, we definitely would have paid the $50 to go through fast track. Our transportation was waiting for us and offered us a small tour on our way to Stonefield. We were greeted and welcomed upon arrival to the resort, given a welcome drink, and completed all the necessary paperwork. We were then escorted to 'Oleander' which is a piton ocean view villa. Our view was spectacular, which is probably one of the few positive things of Stonefield. Once we entered the room, we noticed our AC wasn't working, but that was addressed and fixed within 10 minutes. Please note that the only room that has AC in your villa is the bedroom, the living room/kitchen area, and your bathroom do not have any type of AC. The outside shower was interesting! It was not awful, but during a rainstorm, it was not ideal. Our first dinner was okay, nothing to rave about. The food was acceptable. We ordered chicken kababs, grilled fish, and seafood linguine. The service was extremely slow, which is not always a bad thing, but it was SUPER slow. The breakfast was fantastic! Over the mornings, we had toast, French toast, oatmeal, cereal, and fruit. The breakfast foods were delicious. The only negative about breakfast is they don't have decaf coffee. Over our stay, we found the service was less than ideal. They didn't seem interested in getting to become familiar with their patrons. We had the same waitress for every meal, and every single time, we were asked what villa we were in. This seemed so odd to me because there aren't many people staying at one time! We ordered a picnic lunch and couldn't get a straight answer as to price, we were told it would take 20 minutes, it ended up taking 45 minutes, which caused our driver to have to sit around and wait. The food quality was not great, and the price was extremely high. We were charged for every single ride somewhere, regardless of whether it was a 3 minute ride or 20 minute ride. The cost of the ride was also the same. In regards to going off property, be prepared to feel like a 2nd class citizen at Sugar Beach. Although the views were beautiful, staff at the actual.Sugar Beach resort had a horrible attitude and would not let us sit any type of shade. The beach Stonefield transports you for free, Paradise Beach, is far from paradise. I'm not really sure how they consider it a beach, but it is maybe 10 feet of filthy sand, decorated with broken signs, dead trees, and murky water. One evening, we went to Hotel Chocolat for dinner and it was UNREAL! The food and service were spectacular. I highly recommend visiting Rabot (the restaurant at Hotel Chocolat) at least once. One other thing I'd like to highlight is that our driver, Marcus, was fabulous! He drove us to the majority of our destinations and was so kind. We requested he drive us to our next resort, and he gave us a lovely tour around the island. Lastly, I'd like to give kudos to the resort for bringing me 2 items I left behind. Marcus was heading to the airport and stopped by our 2nd resort to drop the items off. This was definitely above and beyond what they needed to do. We probably won't stay here again if we visit St Lucia. I would recommend stopping on the way to the resort to get food/alcohol. The rooms have a refrigerator and a stove so you can heat up whatever. If you just hang in your villa, it is pretty chill.
