South Caicos
South Caicos exists today as one of the few unspoiled tropical destinations. Among the smaller islands in the Turks and Caicos Islands, (eight square miles), South Caicos is renowned for white powder beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, ocean-side bluffs, quiet bays and salt-water flats teeming with pink flamingos. Cockburn Harbour town is home to most of the island’s eight hundred (800) residents. With Caribbean-inspired homes on narrow streets lined with native stonewalls, the village harkens back to a simpler time and lifestyle. The charming and authentic Caribbean atmosphere of a village imbued with hundreds of years of rich history and culture is a rare find in a resort destination.
Environment
Relatively untouched by humans, South Caicos’ reef system is considered the healthiest and most vibrant in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Over fifty (50) species of coral abound, with spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, grouper, snapper and dolphin fish all part of this spectacular reef system, making it a premier SCUBA diving and snorkeling destination.
The waters surrounding South Caicos offer a diverse and spectacular background. The turquoise waters to the south and east turn to a deep cobalt blue just past the coral reef system, where the water drops from fifty (50) feet to seven thousand (7000) feet. It is here where anglers find world-class offshore sport fishing for sailfish, wahoo, mahi-mahi, marlin and yellow-fin tuna. The shallow waters of Caicos Banks to the west, is considered a haven for bonefishing.
Sailrock

Absolutely hands down the most tranquil place I have ever been. If you are looking for perfection this is it! Started off in Provo and was transported by a small plane to this hidden gem. The island is small and the people are amazing. We were picked up by a kind man in a very nice clean air conditioned shuttle. When we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks and a tour of the stunning resort. Our room had beautiful unobstructed views a beautiful outdoor bath and shower and private front and rear decks. The beds are comfortable and the linens are glowing white. The room was cleaned to perfection and the turn down service was great with yummy sweet treats everyday wrapped with a local touch. The staff all remember our names. Karyle in the restaurant was stellar she served with grace kindness and a huge smile. Ricky taught us the hobie cat and we were able the sail solo throughout our stay. We paddled boarded around saw turtles sting rays small lemon sharks and tons of reef fish. The pickle ball courts are beautiful and perfectly maintained. Putra made everyday perfect and even found a way to make our unusual requests were met. Ruperto makes the best Dominican old fashions you'll ever experience with a friendly laugh you won't forget. We flats fished wish G man and got lucky. If you are seeking privacy and luxury this is your place. Lastly the guests we made life long friends that made on trip one to remember.

From the moment we arrived at SailRock Resort, we knew we were in for something special. This resort is nestled on the beautiful shores of Turks & Caicos and not only offers a great place to stay, but an unforgettable experience. And it’s all thanks to the exceptional staff who go above and beyond to make every moment magical! My husband and I stayed here last week for our Honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The resort itself is stunning – sparkling turquoise waters, pristine landscaping, and luxurious accommodations that are both spacious and elegant. But what truly set this place apart from other resorts and vacations we’ve done is the hospitality. The staff is an absolute dream—friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive without being intrusive. We were warmly greeted upon arrival with a refreshing welcome drink (Blue Ocean – that we continued to order the entire week!) and a smooth check-in process. The concierge team took the time to explain all the resort amenities and personalized recommendations, ensuring we didn’t miss out on any of the unique experiences this island had to offer. Throughout our stay, it felt like the staff was always one step ahead, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was the housekeeping team who kept our room tidy with little thoughtful touches (like little desserts left in our room each night) or Putra helping us our entire stay with excursions, recommendations, and just being a great resource for anything we needed during our stay. A special shout-out to Chef Mario– Each meal was absolutely divine! My husband and I both agreed every breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious – from the fresh seafood at dinner to the wide array of lunch and breakfast dishes – every bite was delightful!! We did a private chef dinner one evening with Chef Mario which we’re still talking about!! He allowed us to curate our own menu which we chose to do a surf & turf (lobster and filet) with risotto and veggies along with a ahi tuna salad to start. It was FABULOUS! Additionally, the servers are so warm and personal – we had Ruperto serve us most of our meals and by the end of the trip we felt like we were dining with a friend rather than a hotel. He has such a kind heart and soul! For anyone seeking adventure, the resort offers a wide variety of activities, from snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, to boating excursions and atv tours. We took an ATV tour around the island with staff member, Ben, who was an incredible guide and was not only knowledgeable about the local marine life, but also genuinely passionate about the island and the future growth of the island. What really made our experience stand out though was the genuine care and kindness of the staff. On our last day, they all stood outside and waived goodbye to us as we departed! We couldn’t help but smile knowing we were leaving with amazing memories from our honeymoon, but also a token of the island’s hospitality. If you’re looking for a getaway with a personal touch, I can’t recommend SailRock highly enough! The resort itself is high-class, but it’s people make it truly fabulous. We can’t wait to return!

Husband and I spent 4 nights at Sailrock and loved every minute of it! The resort is beautiful and clean, the restaurants served delicious food and drinks (although pricey!), the beach and cove were absolutely gorgeous with the most crystal clear water we've ever experienced, and finally the service and staff was like none other. Professional and friendly everywhere we went. We had the unique opportunity to be there during low season when they are typically closed (I believe they are trying to remain open year-round going forward) and because of this there were very few other guests. We practically had the place to ourselves. While there we went on the kayaking trip to a sandbar, my husband went on a fishing excursion (which was fly-fishing for bonefish), and we went on the ATV tour. All good times! If you are looking for peace, tranquility, good service with a boutique-type resort - don't hesitate to book Sailrock! We will be back!

Sailrock is nothing short of breathtaking. In every possible way...from the incredibly attentive staff to the marvellous cuisine at its restaurant and on its white sand beach. The accommodations are truly magnificent with every possible creature comfort. The activities are plentiful --including Fishing in crystal clear water (and bringing home your catch to be superbly cooked for dinner that night) and there's kayaking, hobie cat sailing and just plain relaxing. Don't miss any opportunity you have to stay at this simply out-of-this-world property.

Not my first time at Sailrock and you better believe, we'll be back! We went for a special reunion with my best girlfriends and stayed in the gorgeous villa! If you truly want to get away from it all and enjoy the most perfect and serene ocean views in paradise... along with Top Shelf service, this is your place. When you arrive you'll notice right away this experience is unlike other hotels or resorts. You'll be treated like family. The Sailrock staff takes the time to get to know every guest and will cater to your every need. Harvey gave an impressive presentation upon arrival while Mukesh greeted us with a delicious island cocktail. It was the perfect, refreshing drink after the journey to South Caicos. Putra, Junie, and Earl will make sure you are well taken care of. Katherine, Karel, and Ruperto made sure each meal whether at the pool, beach, or Great House we were treated like royalty. I'm gluten free and another girlfriend I was traveling with is as well. They remembered each time and Chef prepared the most amazing meals! Each night the Great House menu changes so it's always something new and delicious. We were fortunate enough to come during lobster season! And, it's a bold statement but the sushi was the best I've ever had...better than Nobu or Ritz Carlton. I also have to mention Eko...who was my incredible massage therapist and he also teaches yoga. What a talented and special soul he is. They offer yoga overlooking the bay and it was the perfect start to my day. For activities, we enjoyed the kayaking at Jerry Camp and took a boat cruise to search for starfish, biscuits, and the most beautiful conch shells! The snorkeling was absolutely incredible. Our boat captains were so knowledgeable and made us feel very safe. Sailrock is a unique and special place if you want to truly enjoy an elevated, luxurious resort and the natural beauty of the Caribbean.
