We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was lovely, the bathroom modern with plenty of room. The location was great for visiting many local attractions. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.

This review is really about the inn. Unfortunately, we were not at the inn in time for dinner, but did have a lovely breakfast the next morning. The staff were warm and welcoming, even though we came in late at night. The property is beautiful. I left an article of clothing behind and they kindly mailed it to me in the States. I feel like they went above and beyond in doing this. I would highly recommend this property.

This restaurant is in the country inn of the same name. It feels like a little piece of heaven in the heart of Slovenia. The dining room in this ancient house is warm and inviting and complete with white linens, silver and crystal. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. We started with their tongue appetizer which was beautifully presented and delicious. We also had the cabbage soup. For the main course we had grilled trout. It comes from a nearby river farm and was obviously very fresh. As with all white fish it was simply prepared, moist and delicate. I had the opportunity to meet with chef Klavdij Pirih. He is a pleasant and engaging man who was happy to answer all my questions about the preparation of the trout. It was accompanied by chopped potatoes and steamed spinach. It was perfect comfort food. We also had the pork back with dumplings. For dessert we had their chocolate soufflé and hazelnut shtrukli. They were both wonderful. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Eating there was a real pleasure in every way.
