Beautiful hotel with top notch service!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel checks all the boxes to be a solid 5 stars. It’s a beautiful historic building, but feels modern inside. There are lots of staff everywhere and they are extremely attentive and friendly. Every need was met and followed up on. Our travel agent arranged driver was not at the train station, but the hotel had a van there picking up a family. The hotel bellman loaded us up and took us to the hotel. Check in was informative and welcoming down to the Mimosa. The concierge then helped set up some dinners and explained their transportation options to us. These include scheduled trips into town and to the nearby ski resorts. The concierge and bell staff were always attentive. Our deluxe room was beautiful and large. The heated bathroom floor was very nice. We ate lunch in the lobby bar the first night and did room service as well, both experiences and the food were outstanding. The gym is large and well equipped with an extremely helpful attendant. It is in the spa area, but was open 24 hours. There are 2 nice pools. One indoor and one outside which is heated and had lots of surprise features, Look for the buttons. They close at 9 pm. The daily included breakfast was an amazing buffett that also had menu options. You can eat off of both. There are included mimosas. I loved the freshly squeezed OJ. The attached ski shop handled our ski rentals and were also first rate!! I also have to give a shout out to the housekeeping staff. They were all friendly and greeted me walking down the hall every time and our room was immaculate. Finally we had a couples massage in the spa and it was easily in my top 5 ever(we have had over 100 around the world). Try out the Ice bar in the igloo out front. Clearly this hotel is indeed Grand and well managed!!! Thanks for a perfect stay. I reviewed the Italian restaurant separately.

The Best Hotel I've Ever Stayed in - Hands Down

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Hands down, this was the best hotel experience I've ever had. The grounds are amazing, the spa is world class and incredible, and the staff is over-the-top amazing. Alex and the concierge team helped me plan my wedding proposal in perfect fashion - my fiance said it was "the most perfect 24 hours imaginable" - and I have to thank the Alex and the rest of the Concierge team for that. We even went on a fantastic bike ride to a morning cold plunge in an alpine lake with the hotel manager Constantine. This is hands down the most incredible hotel and staff I've ever experienced. The room was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING. I will absolutely be back in the winter time. I can go on and on about this place, but if you're looking to book something next-level, this is your choice. We said at a couple places in town, and this hotel was by-far-and-away the best in St. Moritz-Bad Incredible experience. Grateful for you making my big day so special!

FB team is excellent!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We would like to give big compliment to FB team at Lobby Bar especially Daniel. He has 5* service mind, we wouldn’t need to repeat what water we would like to order on our second lunch but once we seated, he came with the water we’ve ordered first time which means he recognised the details so well. He truly the star! Alen is also very very attentive and take so well care of us during our stay! They are a good team! Breakfast team is the best, Maria, Angelina, Chef, Alessandro if I remember the name right, he came from Greece and the rest of the team did great! Sushi Chef is really doing great job and all the cheats! The food is really really amazing!

Elegant hotel with great spa amenities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

I stayed here a few nights this summer while part of a college alumni group. A glamorous hotel with many elegant amenities for a luxury stay. It is in the Spa area of St. Moritz.. Locally called “Bad” , (IE. Baden Baden in Germany). It is a short (10 minutes) bus ride to the middle of St. Moritz. The food (breakfast and dinner buffets) at the hotel were plentiful and tasty. I wish I had more time to experience all the hotel has to offer, but I guess that leaves something to do on a return trip.

Top Notch Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

I am going to start with the negatives as there were very few: -they screwed up the pick up at the train station. I was waiting in the wrong place but I think it was also that they had another pick up so when they couldn't find me, they left (which in my opinion is a no-no for a 4 star hotel). When I phoned the hotel, they did have someone pick me up immediately -restaurant staff were unfortunately not very attentive. We had piles of plates piling up and I think there was only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. Managers have to be better in actually managing rather than just standing around looking good in their suits. Now to the positives: -even though we got to a rough start, our check was magnificent. I forgot the name of the person who checked us in but she was very pleasant and thorough in explaining all of the facilities of the hotel. She even walked us up to our room and showed us the features of the hotel. -concierge was very helpful in recommending restaurants pre trip and during trip. They have a courtesy car and they tried their best to accommodate any of our needs to go to the restaurant/train station. -we were upgrade to a deluxe double with a mountain view and a balcony. Room was great and they had bottled water for us each. -we did not use the gym or spa but seemed to be nice facilities -staff were very friendly and helpful -quality of bath products was high. Location is a bit away from city centre but magnificently elegant hotel. It was off season but I can imagine during high season, this hotel is hopping with activity, especially at the bar. They also have a 1 star Michelin restaurant on site along with another restaurant that is Michelin recommended. Had a lovely stay here and would definitely come back to this hotel.
