Great location.
Great location. However, staff entered my room when the privacy sign was in the door, which I do not appreciate. They were able to tell what food I had eaten even though the food wasn't on a weight sensitive pad, Las Vegas style and Bill me before I had left. An old hotel with old hotel charm. Wonderful proximity to the Xcel Energy Center. Room service was outstanding, and the pricing was decent for that as well as the minibar. We ended up using the mini bar because their lounge bar on a Friday night Valentine’s Day no less apparently closes at 9 PM. Be sure to open a window if you turn the heat on because the heat has no ability to stay at a reasonable temperature. We awoke at 6 AM at 88° in the room cooking. We could not reduce the temperature. We had to turn the entire system off and open a window to lead in the 5° temperatures outside, prevent us from continuing to roast. Considering the price for this hotel, it was disappointing.

Amazing weekend
The bed is the comfiest bed, the towels and robes are so fluffy. We did room service meals several times, each time was prompt, visually delightful and excellent taste. We used valet a few times during our stay and each time the process was fast and professional. Can’t wait for another night out to stay at the St. Paul Hotel!

Timeless Hotel
We stayed here for our daughter's wedding. As former Minnesotans, we have enjoyed the St. Paul Hotel for many years. We love the timeless nature of the hotel and how they have kept the decor how it likely would have been when originally built. Great staff as well!!

Lovely and charming hotel! Great location!
What an absolutely amazing and charming hotel! From the minute the valet took our car to when we checked out, we had the best stay. We were only there one night for a wedding but enjoyed every minute! The rooms are so charming. Be aware - the double rooms are double beds so it may not be comfortable for more than 2 adults. While the bathroom is small, it was clean and lovely. Appreciated the bellman bringing up our luggage and explaining the amenities. Also enjoyed the St. Paul Grill in the hotel for drinks and appetizers. Overall, would highly recommend and we will for sure be back! Tip: If you are checking out on a busy day and used valet for your car, be prepared for a short wait.
