Very friendly staff, beautiful setting, very good and fresh food with good wine! Our snorkeling trip was amazing: lunch on a private island, snorkeling with 3 turtles and sting rays! Definitely 5 stars!

Absolutely delicious pizzas paired with fantastic wine, all enjoyed in the most relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Loved being able to watch the pizzas being freshly cooked – such a great touch! The service was excellent from start to finish. Totally recommend this place, and a big thank you for a lovely evening!

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at Turtle Inn and we look forward to returning. This property is a true luxury boutique with beautiful and private accommodations, well manicured but not overly “done” grounds, and a warm and friendly staff including Abraham and Melvina at the front desk who proactively checked in on us all week. Resort food can get old, but not here. Everything we ate was delicious and all cocktails fresh and made with care by our man Joseph! It’s not a lot of 5* resorts that have their own chicken coop next to a wood-fired pizza oven… Don’t miss a trip to the spa - my essential oil massage was a mix of Thai and Swedish delivered expertly by Jun (who worked at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok for 12 years). Splurge for the 90 minute - you will not regret it. While the resort is certainly kid-friendly, the main pool is not huge and the beach has a retaining wall so I would plan some excursions if traveling with kids. This is not a waterslide spot nor is it a beach spot - it feels more like staying at a chic friend’s house. We used the complimentary evening shuttle to get into Placencia for dinner and loved every meal we ate. July is low season so we walked in everywhere but I would highly recommend reservations in high season. Fly Maya Air if possible, their terminal at PLJ is way nicer than the Tropic Air terminal. We absolutely loved our time here - it was a great value and both Turtle Inn and Placencia retain a lot of rustic charm that’s difficult to find these days.

We ate the Turtle Inn's restaurant and the food and atmosphere was the BEST on the Placencia peninsula. Amazing food and wine and great options for our younger children. The view looking out into the ocean during sunset looks like something out of a fancy travel magazine. Best dinner spot in all of Placencia....and our kids loved to pet Toby the dog!

The moment we walked in, they knew our names, knew a little about us! Always addressing us personally, knew what we drank and ate most of the time. Always helpful and accommodating
