This was our third trip to Turtle Inn. Once again the staff there made our stay an amazing experience. This trip we stayed in a beach front cabana. Waking up to the sound of waves and a beautiful sunrise was an experience my wife and I will cherish forever. This trip we made a few excursions. First we spent a half day reef fishing. Our guide Rico was both friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure that we both caught a variety of fish and was very patient with two first time reef fishers. After we returned to the resort (spotting a Morelets crocodile near the pier) He cleaned up a red snapper for us which chef Mauro grilled to perfection. The next adventure was going birding in thr Cockscomb wildlife sanctuary. Our guide Mark was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the trip relating to us the history of the area and pointing out many varieties of birds and plants as well as explaining the interactions of all aspects of the surrounding environment. Every time we return to Turtle Inn our experience keeps getting better and better. We have come to consider many of the staff to be our family away from home. Everyone is so kind and friendly. They certainly go above and beyond to meet your every desire. I would absolutely recommend Turtle Inn to anyone visiting Belize. We hope to return again and again. It is our go to place in Placencia.

A true gem. Perfect for a quick getaway that feels far removed. With direct flight from LA and a little puddle jumper that puts you 3 min from the hotel you can feel immersed in the jungle with very little effort. The staff at the Turtle Inn could not be nicer and more accommodating. The GM was very approachable and friendly. We had booked the last room available via website which turned out to be a bit noisy due to the proximity to the road and kitchen. When I inquired about a change we were offered 3 great options at no additional charge. This made for the peaceful escape I was very much needing! The food was great and varied with 5 different options for dining. fresh and well prepared always We also went snorkeling twice and loved both the full and half day experience. All in all very impressed with the Coppala experience

We stayed in the beautiful Francis' Family Villa with Kenny as our butler. He was an incrdible host who catered to our every whim. The pool was fantastic as was the food. Our outing to Pompion Caye with lunch was a day to remember forever. Transfer from the local airport is seamless and takes less than ten minutes. We can not wait to return.

My wife and I stayed at the Turtle Inn for our honeymoon, and we cannot recommend this resort enough. To start, the location, decor, and lodging were all simply beautiful. The "rooms" are all private cabanas or villas. We stayed in one of the cabanas! It was plenty large, beautifully appointed, and had the coolest bathroom we've ever seen. There was a shower indoors and out, and it was so private that we wondered if we were the only people at the resort. When we arrived, we were greeted by Javi, who helped us book all sorts of wonderful activities. He is incredible at what he does, and made us feel so welcome! The drivers at the Turtle Inn are another highlight. Melvin, Mark, and the other driver we interacted with always knew our name, our activity plans, and provided excellent recommendations. The housekeeping team does a phenomenal job of ensuring your room is like brand new every single day for both stayover and turndown service. We loved the three dogs that call the Turtle Inn home. Chip, Salsa, and Tony make an incredible welcoming committee! We didn't go a day without seeing their smiling faces, and it is so cool to see them playing on the beach. The resort dive shop, Tides, was the best outfit we've ever been with. Doren and the rest of the crew made our four dives unforgettable. The equipment is top notch, the boat is beautiful and comfortable, and the LOCATION!!! The locations were as good as it gets. Pompion and Silk Cayes are one of a kind, and you can hang out on the private island in between dives. The lunches that the crew prepared were hands down the best food we had in Belize. We cannot recommend them enough, and ask for Doren if you can! I wish I remembered more names, but every single employee we encountered was 10/10 amazing. We cannot wait to plan our next visit to Placencia and the Turtle Inn!

Absolutely idyllic. It was our first time to Turtle Inn (but not to Belize). I was a bit nervous about the small plane transfer from BZE to Placencia, but it was SO easy, smooth, and not at all scary that I am 100% converted - that is the way we will get to Turtle Inn next time, bc we're definitely coming back. We chose a seafront cabana, but there is not a bad room in the place. If your budget doesn't stretch that far, don't worry - all the cabanas have amazing locations and the ocean is so close. The cabanas here are really spacious, and from what I could tell they all had those delightful indoor/outdoor bathrooms where you had a little walled-in yard where you walked out of your bathroom and went down some stairs to another outdoor shower. I cannot say enough about how lovely that is. But really, you're never "inside" at Turtle Inn - the restaurants are open air and the cabanas are screened-in. It's a great combination of outdoors but luxury. The food was amazing as usual. The portions are very generous - my husband and I would sometimes split breakfast (even though it was included in our rate) or lunch so we would have room for the next meal. And we're going through withdrawal from the phenomenal coffee. We used the adult pool a few times and swam in the ocean daily (can't believe we were the only ones most days it seemed!). We did a snorkel experience (very fun) and a full day birding with Mark starting with the Scarlet Macaws. By the end of that day, we had seen 78 species! Truly a memory I will cherish forever. Mark was an absolutely fabulous guide, and I cannot wait to return to Turtle Inn and bird with him again. If you have been to Blancaneaux and are curious about Turtle Inn, I would definitely recommend visiting it. The vibe is very similar, but the place is maybe 2-3 times as large in terms of capacity (still very small though). It's by nature a bit busier since it is larger and in a less remote area, but it still has a lot of the quiet, relaxing nature feeling. Belize is a very special place, as is Turtle Inn. We chose it bc we try to be thoughtful travelers who try to consider the impact we have on place, both the people and the environment, and we felt that Turtle Inn is doing it right!
