BLOWN AWAY! Our family’s first time in Belize and we’re so happy we stayed at Turtle Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who offered us cool washcloths (smelled faintly like tea tree which I love) and a refreshing drink. They went over a map of the property and then helped us with our bags to our room. We stayed at a seaside villa, which was right on the water and we experienced a breeze all day and in the evening. We did not miss the AC. The breeze and fans kept us comfortable. The rooms definitely have a Bali vibe. The villa was specious and beds comfy. Plenty of room for our family of 4. We loved the outdoor showers! We used the main pool and adult pool often. Water temperature and size were just perfect! Appreciated the plastic cups, tub of ice, and water cooler at the adult pool. Guys who work at the beech bar were great. Such a chill vibe while sipping a pina colada and enjoying the beautiful view and weather. Happy hour guac and chips - yum! We did a snorkeling trip coordinated by the Inn. Dorian and Bernardo were our guides and they did a fantastic job. Snorkeling was a blast at Lauging Bird Caye followed by a beach bbq. Omg the bbq chicken was so damn good, especially after having worked up an appetite from snorkeling. Laughing Bird Caye was like something out of a Nat Geo book! The water - just gorgeous! While out, we saw a pod of dolphins with a baby dolphin, lots of nurse sharks, sting rays, eagle rays, jelly fish, and many other fish. Dorian was a very knowledgeable guide! My daughter and I did zip lining at Bocawina. Loved the drive out to see more of the country beyond Placencia. We had a blast zip lining and loved that the Inn packed us a picnic lunch. The staff at Turtle Inn make you feel welcomed and they are kind and beautiful people. Spent a lot of time conversating with Elloid during our trip to Bocawina. He taught me a lot about the area, the people, and the country. Gave me a lot of perspective. My husband wasn’t feeling well one of the days and Ian in the Tea Shop hooked him up and he felt so much better the next day. Took the bikes down the village for dinner at Rumfish - def recommend the fish tacos! Followed that up with some gelato at Tutti Fruiti - a must try! We got some souvenirs and just walked around a bit. Belize is a beautiful country and the Turtle Inn is an exceptional property. They’ve thought of all the details. The people who work there, from the groundskeepers to the managers are consummate professionals who make you feel welcomed and their friendly nature makes you feel relaxed. I felt very safe at the Inn and cleanliness was on point. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I can’t wait to return to Belize and explore some more!

We were sold on the “stunning and comfortable” seaside villa at about 2x the price of a luxury Hawaiian resort. The seaside turned out not to be a beach but a sharp rocky pier, dropping into a stretch of kelp filled murky water. After realizing that location was not kid friendly for our kid-focused party, we tried to exchange and were then denied all options. The reservationist did not communicate to the hotel, because when we got there our party and even departure date were wrong. We were placed farthest away from family amenities next to a private kids pool that we could not use - but that you could hear kids laughing and screaming from morning to evening. My son so wanted to join the fun, but could only wistfully press his face against the wall. There were signs of better days. The staff was at times very attentive. Other times requests were dropped

Fabulous time at an incredible venue. Turtle Inn rates 5 stars plus. Food, service, amenities and arranged excursions were best ever. Loved our hut (aka cabana). Will be recommending it to everyone.

Our seaside cottage had a wonderful view and was at the end of the property. We were only a few feet away from the "Adult Pool" which we swam in every day. The staff were super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond in everything, including our dining and arranging our two excursions. We loved the Sunset Cruise around Placencia Bay and the Monkey River Tour (insect repellent is a must). We had a fabulous stay and will surely be back. Turtle Inn is a real gem in paradise!

Enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Belize with family. We started our adventure at Blancaneaux Lodge and ended it at the Turtle Inn. Our first visit to the Turtle Inn was 12 years ago and it continues to be a special destination for us. It's been incredible sharing this place with our kids and grandkids the last two years. Martin (Manager) is very attentive and immediately greeted us when we arrived. At Turtle Inn, the staff quickly becomes family. There is so much to do and explore. It is a great place to bring kids and offers the perfect balance of adventure and downtime. I highly recommend Belize to anyone looking for a beautiful, enriching getaway. I already booked our 2027 trip!
