When it comes to raising a glass in cheer, there is no finer place to toast than Lanzerac Hotel and Spa. Tucked into the Cape Winelands of South Africa, this 300-year-old wine estate boasts one of the areaâ€(TM)s most distinguished examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Opening onto private patios overlooking lush vineyards, landscaped gardens and the majestic Helderberg Mountains, spacious guest rooms and suites preserve the atmosphere of a gracious era. And because every wine deserves a brilliant pairing, the manor offers numerous dining options, including the elegant Governors Hall and Mediterranean-styled Lady Anne Courtyard.

Amazing service from reception to cleaning staff. The room exceeded our expectations. I cannot find fault with anything. Attended a wedding last night and the food was exceptional. Breakfast awesome as always. Evertime I come back here I find another reason to return.

Loved Lanzerac. The quiet efficiency of everyone there stood out and allowed us to relax into this beautiful place. Loved it!

Probably the best appointed hotel room that we have stayed in South Africa. We could have wanted for nothing. Food was of the highest quality in all the outlets that we were in. The grounds were exceptional. The staff were all great ,especially around the Deli, we did not experience the spa but the facilities were lovely. Well done to the team

We stayed in November 2024 and hit lucky for two reasons: 1. This is the best hotel in Stellenbosch if you want comfort, sophistication, beauty and abova all tranquillity. The views are extraordinary, the pool and grounds are lovely, and the Taphuiss was a lovely place to dine in the evening with an Afrikaans menu. [Avoid the Manor Restaurant as it is quite barn like and the food merely adequate to good, although the Mielepap - maize porridge - in the morning was lovely with ground cinnamon] 2. A few days before arrival, we were offered a half price upgrade to a luxury room. Take it! We stayed in Room 505 which had been converted from a stable mews to a luxury bedroom and bathroom. The decor was quite nineteenth century with reproduction antique furniture and prints. It was immaculately neat and clean. We had a great time and I recommend the Guardian Peak winery for lunch.
