Family tradition

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is our third time staying at the snowflake in March! We truly love that our kids can enjoy the pool and the racquet ball courts. The main reason for our stay is to enjoy the slopes at Stowe, but we have begun to enjoy the tradition we as a family has made staying here. Our youngest enjoys the ping-pong table. Our teenager enjoys the pool table… I am especially grateful to the hospitality provided by Duncan and the rest of the team here at the hotel.

Not great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Inn is in the process of updating everything. We paid extra for a King room. I probably should’ve mentioned we wanted hot water in our shower. Three nights of ice cold showers. I told the front desk, and they sent maintenance. He had no clue as to why we had no hot water. Nothing was offered, like a room change. I got a “that’s not good by the front desk”. Not his fault, not maintenance man’s fault. Maybe I should’ve asked, but honestly that’s managements job.

Gross

We found a hard old tissue in our bad that had blood on it and the shower curtain fell on my mates head and our door didn’t work very well. Or food kept jamming and not opening from the inside of the outside. There weren’t any plugs on the night stand so I had to plug it in elsewhere. It was cold the thermostat didn’t work. And there were 3 phones one in the bathroom too who needs a phone in the bathroom right next to the toilet. And this place was hella creepy I did like the beds tho they were nice 😁

Good Value

This was our second trip here. Friendly service, convenient to mountain, restaurants and shops. A little dated, but they seem to be making updates (fitness center and spa). Fireplace in rooms is plus. Continental breakfast. Simple and clean.

Needs major updates

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed here since it was one of the only resorts available for our dates. We read the TripAdvisor reviews that mentioned it was dated ahead of time so we would know what to expect. Unfortunately, many of the reviews are too kind. Aside from the lobby, this hotel needs a major overhaul and more help. It’s is extremely overpriced for what you get. The pool area and locker rooms were trashed every night, people were letting their young kids run around unsupervised, and they were leaving piles of dirty towels and trash everywhere. One night, the pool ran out of towels- we tried to use the pool phone to call the front desk, but the pool phone didn’t even work. We checked the locker rooms and there were only hand towels left in the locker rooms. All toilets in the women’s locker rooms were clogged and there were dirty towels all over the locker room, locker room hallways, saunas and around the pool area. The breakfast area was also relocated to a larger atrium one morning, and the ceiling near the food area was leaking water and collecting in multiple buckets near the food area- this is not sanitary or food safe at all! The fixtures in our room were also very outdated. Get some new USB lamps, update the carpet and other furnishings. I’m pretty sure my grandmother had the same lamps in the 1990s. I would not stay here again until there is a major hotel wide renovation.
