Reviews for Ajwa Hotel Sultanahmet

Ottoman inspired decor, serene with friendly staff.

Wonderful staff, the restaurant service was quick and the food was nice. The view from the restaurant every breakfast was such a delight. Muslims looking for an alcohol free hotel plus separation of male and female times for gym and spa access, Ajwa has them. It’s unique for this day and age but very welcome. Thank you Ajwa staff, you all have made our anniversary memorable.

A comfortable stay in the Clock House (AJWA Sultanahmet) close to main sights

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had a comfortable stay at the Clock House (a separate villa, part of the AJWA Sultanahmet hotel). The villa is a 3 to 5-minute walk from the main building of the hotel and the shuttle was provided for transfers to breakfast (on the way back we chose to walk although we were offered transfer). The Clock House provides four floors: the ground floor with one bedroom and a living room, the first floor with two bedrooms, the upper floor with another living room and a terrace and finally a basement with a kitchen (including a large fridge) and a private sauna (6 people can fit in). There are several bathrooms and toilets in the building. There are four of us but the villa would be comfortable fir six people as well. We felt very special in this lovely villa. We chose the hotel for the second time, returning after three years and we were satisfied again (last time we stayed in the main building, this time in the Clock House). The breakfast provided in the upper floor of the main building is very good and you can enjoy a great view of the Sea of Marmara. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Rooms are well equipped and clean. The location is very convenient, reasonably close to main sights of the old town (the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı palace) where you can go by the shuttle provided for free by the hotel during the daytime or you can walk 12–15 minutes. The T1 tram stop (Çemberlitaş) is also close enough, which is useful when returning from a trip outside the Sultanahmet area (for example from the Galata Tower).

Increadably friendly staff and great hospitality in a beautiful hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

The hotel is perfectly located if you want to stay close to the major historical sites and attractions, like Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. It is just a few minutes walk a way. The hotel is beautifully designed with a modern take on traditional Ottoman architecture and interiors. The rooms are well planned and gives a sense of refined and warm luxury. (I also had the benefit and pleasure being upgraded!) The breakfast, which is a moderate sized but very nice buffet with a la minute options for eggs and pancakes, is served at the the top floor restaurant with a magnificent view. I only stayed one night and hadn't possibility to use the SPA, but it looked as great as everything else. What I would like to mention and emphasis even more is how wonderfully helpful, professional, knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. They were fantastic and made the stay very very good!

The most beautiful and best hotel in Istanbul !

Our stay here at the Ajwa Sultanahmet was absolutely fantastic!!! I can not recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The location was perfect, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, and the food at the restaurant was fantastic! We enjoyed our beautiful breakfast buffet daily, and had the most delicious dinner in the evening. The hotel room is ornately decorated and kept impeccable by the staff. We will absolutely be coming back 🥰 I know there are a lot of choices out there but we felt we hit the jackpot with this hotel. It was an absolute joy to stay here !

Excellent service!

The hotel is really nice, the room was clean and big enough. The restaurant on top of the building gives the chance to have breakfast with a relaxing sea view. but what makes the difference is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. They are always one step ahead in thinking what you may need, and then they serve you with a smile.
