Bad experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

Stayed the 9th and 10th feb gave poor feedback and have heard absolutely nothing back so my last resort sorry but very poor form Firstly we said the taps in bathroom all needed new washers Then tv remote needed new batteries so we couldn’t watch for a few hours and it was a rainy day !!!! Went to make the bed the next day and the top sheets had two holes in them !, Then breakfast was another story last time we stayed it was a great buffet and cooked breakfast now what a difference very confusing many people were asking for different options and were told no just what’s in the menu , I asked them if I could have the fruit bowl but I’m keto and can only have berries no honey I was told that would make the meal a bit more costly REALLY we just paid a fortune for the room so the fruit came out with all the fruit I can’t eat and I left it we ordered a fruit bowl each but the second didn’t come out because we were told it’s one thing from the menu !,, really so a fruit bowl is worth $30 or more my husband ordered an extra egg and one more piece of toast no that didn’t happen either so disappointing should of gone over the pub and got a great breakfast won’t be staying agin shame it’s an area we grew up in so we stay to reminisce!,,

Dripping with charm despite some quirks!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

A lovely hotel in a great location! Only 15 minutes from the CBD (you can walk or bus across the road). Right next to the Art Gallery. The lofts are seriously cool, and despite the added inconvenience of running luggage between floors, we loved it all the same (maybe they need a dumbwaiter for people like us haha). There were lots of little maintainence quirks which on their own were fine, but they all added up. Our room had: - a very slight musty smell and a loud buzzing noise from the upstairs air con - an unlocked utility closet we probably shouldn't have had access to - the upstairs TV's remote playing up (volume down refused to press 4/5 times) - the Alexa & speaker in the room not working (though this could've just been user error on our end) Additionally, the free guest laundromat (which was nice to have) was definitely not a priority for the housekeeping staff and was a bit grotty. I had to ask the staff for a laundry powder refill because there was none when I went in there. That being said, the staff were LOVELY and ACCOMMODATING. Whenever I raised anything, they went out of their way to address it ASAP. And despite the little quirks mentioned above, the stay was really quite lovely! The room had a gorgeous view overlooking the navy yard, and the lobby decor was really funky and charming :)

Loft Suites are thing I didn’t know I needed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Beg, borrow, or steal to get one of the lofted suites at Ovolo Woolloomooloo—they are seriously cool. Airy, stylish, and packed with plenty of hip design touches, these suites even come with 1.5 baths (because who doesn’t need that in a hotel room?). Storage is fantastic, with two closets and a plethora of hangers, so even over-packers are covered. The hotel oozes cool factor, from the modern decor to the unbeatable location—plenty of nightlife and great restaurants within walking distance. Plus, you get front-row seats to watch a Bond villain (or at least someone who looks the part) take his boat Prometheus out to the bay to do evil. A couple of pro tips: the rooms can run warm, so don’t just lower the thermostat—make sure the AC is actually on. And don’t miss the free self-serve candy bar at the elevator, which makes returning to your room a literal treat. Valet parking was a breeze—at least, I assume so, since I never actually saw the valet. I just handed my rental car keys to the friendly front desk staff, and it magically reappeared when needed. Overall, an excellent stay with friendly and accommodating service. Highly recommended, especially if you can snag one of those lofted suites!

Good location, helpful staff, comfortable room!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Stayed at a loft room over a busy summer weekend. The room felt pretty spacious, the windows a little warm 'upstairs' but to be expected for a loft. Well set out and comfortable. I can't say I really liked the colour scheme but no complaints. Indoor pool is great, with good opening hours (a little earlier and later) very convenient. Breakfast no complaints either. Not a cheap stay but enjoyable nevertheless.

Neat Heritage Building Valet Parking Expensive

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Overall we chose this place for the view of the navy vessels however location was not convenient for public transportation. Staff were welcoming & nothing was to much trouble. The building was pretty neat being a heritage building, rooms were spacious & beds comfortable & the indoor pool facilities were really good for this reason we would stay again. Only negative would be the price of valet parking & it being the only option $95 a day is a tad excessive
