Disappointing Experience – No Flexibility for Special Circumstances We couldn’t make our reservation due to the bushfire at Sydney airport while traveling from Melbourne. Despite the exceptional situation, the hotel refused any flexibility, refund, or credit. I chose to spend $600 for one night to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a higher level of service. Paying premium prices should come with understanding in situations like this, but it seems Ovolo's policy lacks flexibility. I’ve always enjoyed Ovolo for special occasions, but this experience has left us very disheartened. It feels like customer care takes a backseat to the fine print. I hope the hotel reconsiders its approach and values long-term customer loyalty.

Comfortable Stay
Overall a very nice Hotel with wonderful staff and location. Didn't quite get the 5 star "vibe" mainly because the room especially the bathroom was out of date with the temperature control of the water in the shower impossible. Get the temperature correct and for some reason 3 seconds later it is scalding hot or freezing cold. The carpet in the room grubby with stains. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast whilst small was fine. Overall would stay again but I don't think the Hotel justifies the price especially when compared to Asian 5 star Hotels which you could not compare with the Ovolo.

Absolutely Fantastic!
What a great way to kick off this adventure! Fabulous location right on the wharf. Incredible staff - special shout out to Rachel on the front desk, and Mio at F&B! Walk through the Botanical Gardens to the Sydney Opera House. Art walk along the cliffs to Bondi. Wonderful restaurants all around.

Cool property and location, disappointing treatment
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Ovolo. The building and location are amazing and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I left with a negative feeling however. We have been traveling for 5 weeks so we booked via Hotels.com for ease. Because we booked through a third party site, we were excluded from the happy hour benefits - every guest gets two free drinks and a snack - unless you book via third party. We were excluded from the free breakfast. It made us feel unwelcome. We spent a lot of money to stay at the hotel, and it would have been easy for the staff to treat us with just as much respect and inclusion. So while the property and location are excellent, the staff made us feel excluded and could benefit from a spirit of generosity and grace so that all their customers feel welcomed and valued.
