Fantastic view of the opera house from our room. Great location to walk anywhere or to catch a ferry around the bay. Housekeeping was wonderful twice a day. All amenities stocked. The breakfast was wonderful as they had a buffet and ability to order all included in the price. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was high quality and healthy if you needed it to be. All in all a very good stay.

My family and I had the incredible opportunity to celebrate New Year's Eve at Park Hyatt Sydney, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We booked about a year in advance, and while the nonrefundable reservation (with a hefty 10,000 AUD cancellation fee) initially made me second-guess my decision, the experience ultimately exceeded all expectations. Leading up to our stay, there were a few communication hiccups, and I was informed that due to the hotel's immense popularity during this time, Globalist members do not receive complimentary upgrades. However, I took a leap of faith—and I’m so glad I did. Exceptional Service & Surprises One of the most unexpected and impressive aspects of our stay was the concierge service. I had made the rather audacious request to hold packages for an entire year—specifically, 11 boxes of special dishes that I could only get from a store in Sydney that I had shipped to the hotel. To my surprise, they agreed, and when I arrived a year later, every single box was still there, perfectly intact. That level of service alone speaks volumes about the hotel's dedication to guest satisfaction. The Ultimate New Year's Eve Upgrade Upon arrival, we were completely floored to discover that both of our reservations had been upgraded to Sydney Opera House View suites with two balconies—giving us the perfect front-row view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Watching the dazzling show from the comfort of our own private balcony made this experience even more surreal. The hotel also provided champagne, wine, snacks, and a thoughtful welcome note in each of our rooms. Later in the day, we returned to another surprise—a stunning gourmet chocolate creation. The front desk even offered us exclusive tickets to a prime viewing area, but we politely declined—our balcony had a great view of the fireworks over the Sydney Opera House! It was also fun to watch the excitement of the crowds from our rooms, all gathered in anticipation of the midnight fireworks. Unparalleled Globalist Breakfast & Dining One of the standout perks of our stay was the Globalist breakfast, which included the special New Year’s Day buffet featuring an incredible sushi and sashimi section. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast along with à la carte options—all included. The service at breakfast was impeccable, and my college-aged kids had a fantastic time exploring Sydney in between meals. Another Thoughtful Surprise Before Departure Just when we thought the surprises were over, the hotel left a large box of very nice chocolates in each of our rooms on the day before we checked out. This final touch perfectly wrapped up an already incredible stay, reinforcing the hotel’s attention to detail and commitment to making guests feel valued. Final Thoughts The Park Hyatt Sydney delivers a world-class experience, especially for New Year's Eve. Despite my initial hesitation, this stay completely justified the cost and the strict cancellation policy. The unexpected suite upgrade, exceptional service, year-long package storage, and thoughtful surprises throughout our stay made this an unforgettable trip.

The service and location are 2nd to none. Beautifully appointed large rooms with the most comfortable beds in Sydney. Every room has a balcony with incredible views. The smiles and general ambience made it hard to leave. I'll definately return.

The most incredible hotel we have ever stayed at. We cannot fault anything!! Absolutely incredible view, amazing breakfast and coffee, attentive staff and the most luscious bed we have ever slept in. We cannot wait to come back for a third time!

The great location in Sydney means you can have a room with a wonderful view, but the poor design means that if they shove you in a room on the lower floor pedestrians walking past have a wonderful view into your room. The reception staff are just not very welcoming whereas the concierge and bar staff are. Hat's off to the hard-working breakfast staff who really are welcoming. The rooms are very nice, many don't have the views you might expect but when you get to the better ones, you know you are in Sydney.
